question about headphone adapters

so

i have one of those tiny ipod shuffles, the size of a battery, where you control it through the 'phones

my question is- should i get a 'nice' pair of headphones (note that my music collection is mp3s, most not lower than 192 kbps and not higher than 320 kbps, and i'm no audiophile) with the adapter to control the music, or does that adapter in any way impact the quality or response of the phones being used

    Well the quality of the wire will slightly affect the sound, but tbh the Shuffle has such a crap DAC that it won't make a difference. Honestly if my player was a shuffle I'd just stick with the stock headphones.
