Community is the best comedy on TV in the whole world, quite possibly of all time. This is not up for debate. It revolves around a study group at a local Community College in Greendale, Colorado. It airs Thursday nights on NBC at 8pm eastern/west, 7pm central. [strike]A ratings juggernaut,[/strike] it is the modern version of Dear John.
See? They are a group that is so diverse it makes the Planeteers look like racists. As mentioned, the show takes place at Greendale Community College, home of the Human Beings. It's a college that, well......one of the nicest things said about the school is that the basketball team is really gay:
And the Dean is a bit crazy and somewhat confused; his dalmation fetish will someday take over the entire school.
The Main Characters
Jeff Winger
The main character. A former lawyer who was caught with a fake bachelor's degree from Colombia. Now in order to be a lawyer again, he has to get a bachelor's degree, and believes Greendale is the fastest way to this goal. Vain, arrogant, but lonely, he often learns important lessons from the group while wearing thousand dollar jeans. His facebook photo is of a landscape.

These two are nigh inseparable. One is a dumb jock, the other very possibly has assburgers and views the world through TV and film. Troy has an obsession with butt stuff. Abed is prescient. Troy is on the school's football team, Abed delivered a kid in the background of an episode one week. They are the best comedy duo since Wayne and Garth. Their 30 second tags to end the show are better than most 20 minute shows:

A divorced single mother of two boys, she wants to get a business degree so she can sell her brownies online. I watch it on Hulu with my girlfriend because we can't ever find time to watch it together every Thursday. I know quite a few friends who do as well. Maybe among our generation it is really popular, just not through traditional avenues.
Maybe those stats take that into account, though. I didn't really understand them.
