I have a generally dry face. I avoid using facewash excessively because my skin dries out pretty easily and start to peel and flake. It doesn't look all that great and makes my face very dry, itchy and tight. On top of that, I like to exercise outside even when it's cold. Running a few miles in 40 degree weather while the wind blows isn't exactly the best thing for your face.
Are there any products out there for men that will help me out? I don't need anything overly greasy. Just something to put some moisture back in my skin.

I hear face masks are good for dry, peeling skin like that. Avocado, I think, is the ingredient most used for dry skin. It may not be manly when you do it, but, hey, it couldn't hurt.
And hey, a cucumber snack when you're done.

I'm a big fan of the Neutrogena Men line of shaving products. I use their Triple Protect aftershave lotion in lieu of a traditional aftershave. It's basically an unscented skin lotion with a bit of sunblock built in. When I used regular aftershave my skin dried out quickly and I got pretty significant razor burn. This stuff solves the dryness entirely and really reduces the razor burn.
I shave once every 2 or 3 days. I shave with Barbasol.
However, I really don't think my shaving cream has much to do with it. I'm just talking about how to generally keep my skin from becoming super dry. I use chapstick on my lips, but the rest of my face needs help.

I recommend using Cetaphil facewash. I have similar problems with skin dryness and this doesn't dry my face out at all. I also use the lotion in the winter, and as it is not oil based, it doesn't cause me to break out.
I also have bad dry skin when I shave, but I usually have a full beard and mustache 340 days of the year. But those rare times I do shave, I find the neutrogena products work wonders, especially the ones with those scrubby bead things in them.
I have the same problem and use some cheap handlotion. I reckon if it's good enough to prevent my knuckles from splitting and bleeding (thats how dry they get), it's good enough to get rid of my dry flaky forehead.
Barbasol is definitely going to dry your skin out, but since you have this problem outside of the shave there seem to be other issues at play. I have two products to recommend, both of which are after shaves but there is nothing stopping you from using them as a daily moisturizer. http://www.westcoastshaving.com/Geo-F-Trumper-Coral-Skin-Food-100ml_p_578.html http://www.westcoastshaving.com/Institut-Karite-Moisutrizing-After-Shave-Balm_p_148.html
I have and freaking love the Institut Karite stuff and have heard great things but never personally used the Skin Food.
These products might seem expensive to you, but keep in mind that you need very little per application and that healthy skin is worth a bit of change.

I use thier face scrub (love it!) face wash, and the lotion. It's a little greasy, but it soaks in fairly quick.
Edited to add, I don't use the lotion everyday, but when it's really dry and I feel like clint eastwood, it really helps.
Most places that sell girly clinique, have the mens line too. I get mine at ULTA when the wife needs to pick something up.
