So it looks like netflix dropped a nice little gift during the holiday in the form of Time Bandits on watch now.
Probably one of the funniest if not the weirdest of Terry Gilliam's movies.
For those who don't know it is about a group of dwarfs who steal a special map and have adventures through Time. So who is in for a watch now Party via your xbox 360?
I had a DVD of this movie; it was defective, causing it to skip - I was not initially aware of this
One night I brought it to a small party where a bunch of my friends and I planned to watch it
We started it up the film and for the first ten minutes of so all was well
Then, just as the knight burst out of the wardrobe -
the film skipped back five minutes
None of us had seen the movie before, and we couldn't tell whether there was something wrong with the DVD or if it was part of the movie (It did have the word Time in the title after all, right?)
So we dutifully continued watching as the film progressed to the knight wardrobe scene again, when, like clockwork, it skipped back once more
However, since it skipped a half minute or so later in the film than it had last time, there was still disagreement over what was going on
We ended up watching the same scene for like 20 minutes before we finally turned it off

Incidentally I've never seen the full movie
which happens to be the age of consent in England, and the actress was only 19-20 when they were filming also
