I know what you mean there. My DS has been collecting dust since i beat Chrono Trigger for the 100th time.. lol. I want to use it, but haven't had a good reason to lately.
Mega Man ZX - 100 years after Zero finally dies (or something.) You play as a human, who suddenly picks up talking armor that makes he or she transform into a familiar looking blue guy and a familiar looking red bishie...
This one is actually sitting in my DS backlog, along with Contact and Phantom Hourglass. Maybe GT will get me back into the system; I've been steadily working through my backlog on my consoles (just beat HL: Episode 2! Hell yeah! Welcome to 2007, population: me!) but haven't gotten around to doing the same on the DS....

Knights in the Knightmare: You got your danmaku in my SRPG and now they taste better. It has very in depth tutorials at the title screen, so it doesn't interfere with the story, and then, if you get it to click, it sucks you in with awesomeness.
(For some reason, no Gamestop on earth has the boxart for that. Does anyone know where I can get a scan? I didn't know weaboo Atlus SRPG fans were so irresponsible. Perhaps the game look cool to lots of kids?)

Thank you. I'm willing to print that and cut it up properly.
I decided to pick this up instead of Kingdom Hearts and I'm loving it. Ironically, you play as a stylus ghost just like Knights. Except this is more like Monkey Island or something of that nature.
Just got back from picking this up on my lunch break. Excited to check it out tonight.
Also picked up Chrono Trigger, because hey fuck it, why not.

I love love love the animations for this game. I really want a Phoenix Wright game in this style. Investigations would've been badass if it looked like this (and was, well, written by Shu as well >>)

One question I have before I pick this up tomorrow - are the cases more bite-sized but in larger number? Becuase if they are shorter I would hope for more than 5 chapters.
I haven't finished yet, but given the amount of plot threads I'm currently holding I expect it to be fairly long.
The game is only one big case (yours) but in order to do that you'll have to do a buuuuuuuunch of things. Um, some guessing, at length, containing minor spoilers:
You 'disappear' from the world at dawn the next day; currently I'm on the fifth time period and it's only about 8:45PM.
Obviously this might bounce around but it sounds pretty long.

The IGN review says there's 19 chapters.

Just bought this; haven't even unwrapped it yet. I've been avoiding all trailers since the first gameplay one. This game feels like it's going to be the source of a lot of spoilerific animated gifs pretty soon!

Cool.
Sadly though, the shopping centre is closed for a couple of days due to the heavy rain, so this game will have to wait.
This game is gorgeous and extremely clever, but I'm worried at how fast I feel like I'm blazing through it. I guess it's just because I'm comparing the amount of original visual content per minute against the Phoenix Wright games, and this game is much denser, at least as far as character animations go.

We'll get back there someday.

Argh. I really want to buy this but I'm completely, utterly broke at the moment and all I have is a couple of Barnes and Noble gift cards. I wonder if I can order it online or something?
EDIT: I can indeed order it online! Too bad it's via Gamestop. I think I'd rather just try to trade the cards for cash and buy the game from a not-crappy retailer.
I just started playing around with it this morning.
FYI, if your wanting to pick this up, better start looking fast. My gamestop only got in one copy so I'm thinking its going to be a pretty low production run availability.

Ah crap. I kind of figured this would happen. I'm still tapped out from Christmas!
I'm hoping to find this game this afternoon. Games sometimes take a few extra days to a week to get here, so I might not find it, but I'm a little more worried about it actually showing up on time and already being sold out. I had that problem with the last Professor Layton game (although I found it by hunting around a bit).
Huzzah! Amazon said this was going to be the 14th or so, but I just found it on the doorstep (where it's been sitting the better part of the day with me barely 20 feet away, unfortunetily)! Looks like Rune Factory 3's finally getting kicked out of the DS for a bit!
I hate giving Gamestop business, but I guess with a niche title like this (that I didn't order from Amazon, like 999) you gotta do what you gotta do. At least they had 4 copies.

Yeah screw morals, the last two Ace Attorney games (can't remember before then) only ever had one delivery in small numbers and that was it. I put an order for mine down just to be safe until I work next.
Yaaaaawn...put about five hours into this over the last five and three-fourths, and I'm really diggin' this so far:
* Probably the best way to describe this is Rube Goldberg Machine: The Game, as at its core it's really all about figuring out the right combination of actions and the right timing for each of these actions in order to achieve your goal. Solutions aren't really obscure or out-of-logic, and usually when messing around with stuff you can get a pretty good grasp of what you're supposed to do.
* CygnusZ mentioned it before and someone else asked about it, so I figure I'll elaborate a bit on the checkpoint/retry system: Basically you get X amount of time to do stuff (non-linear, more of a "stages" sort of deal) but typically whenever you hit upon the right action it sets up a checkpoint there you can zip right back to (though you can also go back to the beginning of that particular stage/sequence if you want to for whatever reason) so there's really very minimal backtracking and the like - if anything you'll probably be using the checkpoint system for testing out ideas instead of trying to figure stuff out in the first place.
* The animation and styling of this is ridiculously good: very smooth, very distinct. The opening bits of chapter 3. Music is...well, I don't know, to be honest. It doesn't really stick, but at the same time it's pretty fitting to what's going on.
* There's plenty of shit going down in this game, and more than enough mysteries and threads and straws to grasp at and whatnot, and as of chapter 8 it's certainely picking up pretty heavily: my intrigue is piqued, at a minimum, and I'm certainely curious as to where this is gonna' go.
* Only thing I'm a bit bummed at is that it's looking like this might be a ten-hour game or so based on my current position and the supposed number of chapters to this, but who knows how much they might be able to cram into the last several chapters.
Yah I can tell this one will likely be a bit on the shortside. With how long each chapter is taking me I probably only have another 6 hours or so. Ridiculously fun though.
Yeah, the game is much faster than the Phoenix Wright series. It doesn't help how often the characters discuss (in detail!) your last attempt to solve something, while giving pretty big hints as to exactly what you should be doing. It's also interesting that the game seems to have a PW style "investigate/cross examine" flow to it. You alternate between leisurely poking around some location looking for clues, and rushing around trying to stop a death from happening. Granted, the PW cross examinations were never timed, but they did have the credibility bar health system. It's a familiar structure, and a good one. I just hope the hints get more obscure and the network puzzles get more elaborate before it ends.

A little.
I thought I'd heard something about it being released down here. Looks like I'll be picking it up this weekend.

Nope, I'm hoping it gets released but I've heard it's already rare overseas.

We had a snow/ice event yesterday, so I'm assuming a delayed truck is responsible for my lack of having this right now.
Cool.

I have a $20 Kmart coupon, so I'm trying to find it at one of THOSE. I think your odds are currently better than mine.

I died laughing.
It's probably too much to ask, but are there multiple solutions for each puzzle, or at least interesting ways to fail?
Minor spoilers:
Apart from that, linear. Like, Phoenix Wright linear. It's good enough though that you won't care.

I've got a $35 gift certificate to Best Buy but apparently Best Buy isn't selling this!
