Looking back over the thread I've noticed some nice fanart crop up already, but I'm kinda hoping somebody will do multiple panels showing Cabenela's dance in full. That was easily my favourite animation in the game.
That dance is the best. Thanks for finding them Jintor!
Just got to chapter 12. Would have continued to play the game but the DS needed charging.
The sneak out of the prison level took me a bit to figure out before I got it. But it was not as long as the save the park hero bit with Missle helping. Love how the puzzles get more complex with time! Best game on the DS so far for me.
I am so glad this thread convinced me to buy this game.
Sissel was behind Jowd's leg when the meteorite hit, going through it and killing him, but the same thing happened to him that happened to Yomiel ie. the thing lodged in him and now he's undead/immortal? It would explain the aura he still has and why he doesn't age.
Or is that pretty blatantly what happened and I just blinked at the wrong time and missed them showing that exact thing?

They showed the shard in the credits, when it switched to the Ghost World at the end when someone picked him up and had the radiation-aura swirling around him.

Not just that, the fact that Sissel still looks exactly the same as 10 years earlier also speaks for the fact that the fragment is inside him.
/edit Heh, watched the GB quicklook even though I've beaten the game... it's rather cool to hear those dudes enthuse over it (and they really liked Missile, too!). Sent in a mail, hope it's in the next Bombcast.
So, in a nutshell, without spoilers, I take it the plot doesn't take itself seriously?
No it definitely does. Its just that much like every other Takumi game, it toes the line between being humorous, while still making you feel for the characters and the situations.

... Is there mind-blowing puzzle conclusions that make you feel awesome? 'Cause if there is, I'm definitely sold on this (I just need money for it).
I haven't posted in this topic much due to all the conversations being spoilered, and I'm paranoid about avoiding those until I've actually finished the game, but...

Unfortunately, I don't think the puzzles are the game's strong suite. You do get a very satisfied sensation as you figure out what exactly to do, but there was no one puzzle where I was like "Oh... OH! WOAH SHIT OKAY"
It's more like a "I figured that's what I should do. Good, that worked. Oh man, more story!"
But fuck it don't let me discourage you. This game is brilliant and you should buy it.
Spent half the day at work on the dunny, playing this game, cos I was so hooked ... and then got home, grabbed fast food and played til 1am to finish this game.
Gooood game. Although, I wonder
MASSIVE END GAME SPOILLLLLLLER QUESTIONS
Okay, so basically in the first iteration of the timeline, everyone dies, and Missile SOMEHOW gets aboard the submarine and then uses his ghost trick to go back in time 4 minutes before (K)Yomiel's death. Then waits 10 years, and tries to basically correct the timeline.
So Question 1 - They mention that Ghost Trick powers develop over time (ie, a loooong time), but it seems that Missile already had the '4 minutes before death' power from the get go, as that is how he saved Kamila's life in the park. Soooo, I guess that power faded after 10 years, otherwise he could have intervened to save Lynn in the second time iteration, rather than depending on Sissel? On that point, how would the 10 year old Missile even know that saving somebody's life reverts the timeline, given that he never actually managed to save anybody? (ie, Kamila and Lynn were dead in his original timeline, and he didn't save Komiel when he went back 10 years ...)
Question 2 - So before the start of the game, Sissel was a ... live cat, and (K)Yomiel was in zombie mode. After Lynn's shooting, Sissel died, and because the protaganist, and Komiel had to leave his body there to frame Lynn, and so instead took Sissel's body, which coincidentally also bumped (K)Yomiel's body and left it sitting casually on the couch. So, I can't remember, but do we see Sissel's body anymore during the game, besides the start and finish? I suspected he was the cat towards the end, since there wasn't any other character's he could be ... but even when they showed (K)Yomiel retaking control of his body, they don't show Sissel's body anywhere nearby?
Question 3 - I was kind of hoping there would be like a Ghost trick facedown. More than the puzzle with (K)Yomiel in the junkyard office, but like Komiel doing Ghost Tricks, and you having to constantly counter him, and he'd adjust to your counter, but you could rewind time so you can inevitably come up with a set of actions that he can't get out of, no matter what tricks he pulls.

Cabanela's dancing when he goes up and down the stairs is pretty boss too though.

Taking the fall for someone you care about was also a major theme in many Ace Attorney cases. I guess that's a motif Shu Takumi really likes.
Not to mention I am genuinely interested in seeing where this story goes.
Honestly, if I someone had spoiled the story for me, I probably would have thought they were kidding.
Only gif I've found so far

There aren't really any annoying characters either.
The characters I thought were going to be annoying turned out to be awesome.

Serious super duper ending spoilers:
Dog and cat fuck with time and space and save a bunch of people.
Sounds pretty fucked up if you put it like that, don't it? :P
