So a cylon with 8 trauma tokens might want to infiltrate galactica and put some trauma tokens on the NPCs, I guess it give the outed cylons and the leaders something different to do.

Yeah; honestly it gives players (more specifically, pilots) something to do too other than sit around in the Lab all day drawing extra cards.

Well, a Leader can infiltrate and encounter Allies. A revealed Cylon with a large amount of trauma tokens has to hope that a location with Allies in it is damaged or destroyed, or that an executed Human chooses a new character whose Ally card is currently in play. In either of those cases, the Cylon with the most tokens gets to put one of his tokens on the new Ally.

Pilots will be busy as fuck now; they'll spend nearly all of their time in space, either fighting Raiders or escorting Civilians to safety.

With the Cylon Fleet board mechanics, it's pretty much guaranteed that there will be Cylon ships engaging Galactica during every FTL warmup cycle. I don't believe it's possible to get an auto-jump for the Human Fleet before you get one for the Cylon Fleet.

Yeah the escort mechanic is pretty awesome. I'm totally psyched; I found that it used to be that while it was always handy to have a Pilot on hand for their utility skills, it wasn't very often that useful for them to go and actually, y'know, pilot.

I'd be happy to host another one of these, but I think it would be a smoother experience if I observe how MrBlarney does it first.

Humanity has escaped New Caprica and continues on its journey to Earth. Their time on New Caprica with the Cylons has changed them - some for the better, some for the worse. There are yet more struggles to come before they may find paradise...

Um. Just a clarification: when we stop at an NPC's location, do we have to pass a Skill Check to get the beneficial result, or...?

If you are in a location with an Ally at the end of your Movement step, the Ally there is resolved. Each Ally has a Trauma token on it that is flipped over to determine the result. Tokens are randomly drawn from the supply at the start of the game. See the "Ionian Nebula" section of the rules posts or read the rulebook pdf for more details.

Cool board. May I steal it?

Draw Engineering for my option draw.

Get Intimate with Cally, who can draw from Leadership.

    Activate Caprica

    The Master Plan:

I think on my turn I want to hit up Alex in the armory. A chance for -1 Pop isn't so bad at all if he winds up being antagonistic; if he did give the negative result, though, would you guys want me to blow a card on him to help with the roll?

I'd rather not (I've never lost a game due to population hitting zero), but I'll hear you out if you'd really rather not start ticking any dials this early.

    Turn 1: "Caprica" Six (Tenek)

Draw Skill Cards: Tenek draws 1 Leadership and 1 Engineering.

Movement Step: Tenek uses Intimate on El Skid, drawing one card at random and El Skid draws a replacement card from Leadership.
Action Step: Tenek activates the Caprica location and draws two Crisis Cards. One is placed on the bottom of the Crisis deck, the other is played:

    Sabotage Investigated

Skill Check [9] Tactics + Engineering
    Pass: -1 Food
    Fail: -1 Morale, -1 Fuel, -1 Food

After Crisis: [strike]Activate Heavy Raiders[/strike], Advance Jump Preparation

The humans don't have long before they begin to run into more trouble. Seems like their efforts on New Caprica has caused some collateral damage...

    Skill Check Contributions
    Destiny Deck: 2 cards
    Felix Gaeta (Void Slayer):
    Callandra "Cally" Tyrol (El Skid):
    Louanne "Kat" Katraine (The Ender):
    Tory Foster (Diorinix):
    Samuel T. Anders (Gene Parmesan):
    Gaius Baltar (Capfalcon):
    "Caprica" Six (Tenek):

The number of cards you contribute should be posted in cyan; you may break order if you wish. (EDIT: However, once you have set your contribution, it cannot be changed.) Send me the cards you have contributed and any conditional orders via PM. Cards that are played before checks must be added before you contribute, and the Skill Check will start back from the top. If you want to be really friendly, you can also post in cyan that you won't be playing such cards into the check.

    Oh, icky. :/

Dammit Six, if you weren't so purty...! *Shakes fist*

K, I'm not into ticking every dial this early. What do you guys think? I can put one card towards it helping a small bit if we intend to pass it.

EDIT: Eh, I'm not thinking straight. Must be time to go to bed. :P

1 Food & 1 Fuel aren't really worth 9+ points of skill cards, I don't think (the fuel makes it close, but the card should maybe give us some breathing room on that front).

So we are guaranteed executions with these new rules so -morale is dangerous.... and fuel is always dangerous to waste.

Tactics and engineering wont be a total waste here though.

Uh, considering she drew Tac, Lea, and Pol, there's only one card (assuming you didn't take it), at most, she could play to help.

Since her disadvantage doesn't allow her to play just one card into a skill check, it's probably not a great idea for her to play cards.

In the same vein, I didn't draw the correct colors for this check.

Cally's "Impulsiveness" shouldn't stop her from contributing one strong positive card and one weak negative card for an overall gain, though. And this is a terrible terrible first crisis, lol.

Oy. I really would rather not dump the only positive contribution I can make to this check, especially given that Void Slayer is the only one throwing anything at it (we'd have to be incredibly lucky with destiny, and he'd have to have tossed something huge, and we'd have to hope that Caprica doesn't poison the well).
