Windows Media Player 12 & Apple Lossless

Hi all, I'm basically just wondering if anyone could point me toward a satisfactory codec for allowing WMP 12 to play ALAC files. I'm not sure if one even exists offhand and trust PA a bit more than random sites uncovered through Google.

A little background in case it helps:

I have a Mac laptop and a Windows 7 desktop. The desktop is a recently built rig and since I've got a router and an Xbox360, I figured I could finally stream all of my music through Windows Media Center and actually listen to my digital tracks on a decent stereo system as opposed to headphones. The catch is that because I spent the last 3 years at school attached to my Mac at the hip I kept all my digital music on that machine so I'd have it wherever. I'm now in the process of swapping all my music off the Mac onto my Windows box so I can stream it. This is not a problem for the majority of my music, however, I have a few albums in the Apple Lossless (ALAC) format, which WMP cannot natively play. I've just done a shortcut and converted copies to plain old AAC for the time being, so it's not like the music is inaccessible, but if there were a way to play the lossless files on my Windows box, that'd be awesome. Now, I'm not even sure if installing a codec in WMP would even allow the Xbox to play them... not sure if the extender can play anything the main player can, so any help on that aspect would be welcome as well.

Unfortunately, that's the problem, I have itunes for playing stuff on the actual desktop machine, but to stream it to the 360 it has to be loaded into the WMP library.

    Try Rivet.
