The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
So I have a somewhat dated Sanyo Katana: Eclipse phone.
Just now I set it in my pocket upside-down, then absent-mindedly placed my iPod in-between the folding sections.
Somehow, the controls on the phone were manipulated to set it to MAXIMUM BRIGHTNESS, so now my phone responds to inputs and produces standard noises but only displays a white screen.
Please help/advise: how do I
i. manually adjust the brightness without visual input, or ii. reset the phone to default brightness (preferably without losing contacts).
IMHO you damaged the connection between the folding sections by sandwiching your iPod
A white screen is typically not some magical full brightness setting - its either a broken LCD or controller or wire, etc.
The phone appears to be intact (there is no give between the sections) and I saw the screen displaying the brightness dial before I closed it without a second thought.
EDIT: Never mind; after a bit of adjusting it appears that it is a wiring issue. Nothing to do but get a new phone I suppose. That's that.
