Song Identification

This is driving me crazy and I know you guys are amazing at identifying things.

I'm pretty damn sure that there is a song that has the same beat as this song:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkMMagMzrgU

But it's a girl singing and it's from awhile ago. That piano bit at the beginning makes me think of this other song every time I hear it and it is driving INSANE.

For those without tube viewing abilities the song is 'You Will Leave a Mark' by A Silent Film.

Thanks!

Something similar is "Sister Winter" by Sufjan Stevens... your example reminded me of it, and while it is a guy singing, I can imagine him being mistaken for a woman at certain parts:

Hmm not quite. Thank you for the effort though!

The song in question is not similar to the one I posted, it just has that one beat. It's more of an upbeat kinda speedy song. But it has that exact same dundun doodoodoo dundun doodoodoo dundun... thing...

Best I can work out, after about an hour of listening to various youtube clips, playing it to Shazam, using that Song Tapper thing, and crawling Google, is that there is no other song. Rather, it was sampled in a film / ad / youtube clip and you're associating that with the song.

I don't know if it's just because I've been googling the title for ages now, but I also think the title sounds really familiar -- just as much as the melody. I can see it written in the credits to some indie youtube clip where whiny hipsters talk about Helvetica. Does that sound at all familiar?

[edit: or a trailer! quick, what are all the trailers you've seen in the past five years?

Grrrrr. This song can't be a figment of my imagination. When I heard this starting on the radio my thought was not "Hey this sounds like another song" it was simple "Oh hey! I didn't know they played this song on the radio!" And then when the vocals came in I was confused.

How could I hav emade that up? I'm going to lose my mind! And I'll try that song tapper after work. Thanks guys.

I think I hear what you're talking about, actually. Um, it makes me think of a piece from The Nutcracker, which I can't seem to find but I swear exists. That's a whole orchestra though, so it's a long shot and probably not what you're looking for.

I know it's not identical, but just throwing this in as a possibility:

Skip to about 20 seconds in.

I'm reminded of Rihanna's Te Amo when I parse out just the piano bit. On the money?
