Vertical is only lame for xbox 360s, because disk trays are for losers.
My wii is vertical, but everything else is hoh-ree-zontal
also i should buy gears of war
Yes, why don't you all continue to rub it in. Now, if you'll excuse me I'll be playing some Defender or maybe I'll finally spend the cash to get me one of those fancy new Atari electric games.
Have any of you seen the British Mac vs PC commercials? They're hilarious.
I use both, and actually use my PC way more than my Mac, but I still think they're hilarious.
ahah, Mitchell and Webb. I love those guys

Oh...oh, no. I just remembered how frustrating it is to do comic page layouts and measurements...
Also, go to hell Spex! Where's my Wii at, huh? There isn't a single unit for sale in all of Boston. Literally. Called every Best Buy, Game Stop, EB, etc. in the greater Boston area...

Honestly, I hate this kind of advertising where you bash on the other guy. You'll never see a BMW ad that compares it's cars to a Toyota, however you'll more than likely see a Toyota ad that tells you it's vehicles are on par with a BMW at some level.
It's the same with Mac vs PC. Only Macs compare themselves to PCs.
To the discussion at hand, my wii is infact vertical when its in my bedroom, but I lay it flat when i bring it places, as to not deal with the little stand thing.
Buckwolfe dont be sad, when I come to boston wii will wii into the night
Only 5 variations or so...I'll come up with more later...and after I finish seeing THE MESSENGERS.
I'm expecting to be mildly freaked out, but also laughing at the ridiculousness I will undoubtedly see. "Scary" movies tend to have a lot of B.S. in them nowadays, it seems.
---gratuitous sex scene
---gratuitous nipple shot
---too much "teeny bopper"
---all "jump out" scares, no lingering scares
---"fake gore scares" which has never ever bothered me in the slightest, because my initial reaction is always "oh, special effects".
---"oh my god somebody is chasing me" scares
---horror movie/teen romance flick

Hey, I'm wondering if any of you fine fellas and fellesses know if there is an efficient way to back up a blog, mabye convert it to some text files or something.
Me and a couple of friends have had one going since 2002, and by now there is a shit-ton of awesomeness over the many pages that I want to be able to save onto my computer in case something happens, or when I'm old I can be all "hey look, this is what I was like in high school and college olols. Damn, I was a retarded kid."

I *guess* text files would be sufficient, if you're kind of lax about needing proper fomatting. It would be the most memory-efficient way to back it all up, though. Bare-minimum. (I'm thinking .txt. files)
Document files could work too, though. I'm sure there's a better way. I'm not well versed in those regards.
The Messengers: eh, okay. Not really a "bad" horror flick, there were some good "creepy" parts, but it wasn't the pants-shitting film I was hoping for. I love scary-as-hell flicks. I don't know why. Poltergeist (original) I freakin' loved. I think I may've said that before. But seriously, I love that movie.
In other news, I'm fucking sick of my friend taking coding and ideas and design off my website and using it on his own site. I made that blatantly clear in an e-mail I sent him just now, when he told me "yeah I'm thinking of taking your gallery coding".
He's an excellent graphic artist, and he's also getting a lot of work (mostly because he was lucky enough to work for a small graphics shop for a few months, and got a good number of portfolio pieces)..........the funny thing is, I'm practically at his skill level with that, and I think I'm a better illustrator. In short, with checks and balances, I think we even out to essentially the samely-skilled person, over-all.
And he's been "borrowing" ideas and hard code from me for a long time, and I really find it unfair and aggravating. Especially because I'm sure his clients are "ooo impressed" at all his "coding skills" when really, a lot of that code and design set-up was off my own website. I freakin' taught that kid HTML. I taught him webdesign. He asked me a few years ago if I could show him. So I did. And I coded his website for him. And although he's learned everything on his own now, and he knows about the same amount that I do (with some coaching on my part, although he knows a few things I don't too, so again, check-and-balances)...he's still taking stuff off my site because he's lazy. And I just about had it and now I hope he gets the point.
And that's the end of my rant. Phew.
(hay hay guys if you need a commission done I need money real bad lol bills lol e-mail me.)
So, yesterday I took my second figure drawing class... this time there was a model. I have to admit, this being my first time doing this, I got a bit nervous when she started taking off her clothes. My hand wouldn't stop shaking for the first 10 minutes of class.
there is a kid in my figure drawing class who is homeschooled, and he is kind of socially retarded because of it. So last week, we had straght up one of the hottest women I have ever seen model for us, she was a straight 10. So anyways, the kid starts spitting this weak ass game at her, while she is naked. It had to be one of the most awkward things ive ever had to witness.
"So uh, I like work at a coffee shop"
"Oh.."
"Yeah its pretty cool, like cool inside. As in its not like hot or anything"
Chat, please tell me this ghost is a fake... I was thinking it was some premiere trick before uploading it, but the %$¨# reflection actually checks the girl out, then blinks.

Try googling up "migrating blogs to typepad", then from typad, export the pages as HTML files.
I really should learn HTML and webdesign. I'd like to have a site up for commissions once I'm in college (Or at least the second year, because I'm going to be absolutely working my ass off in the first).
And on a related note....
I got my actual acceptance letter to the School of Visual Arts today! yes! *hip thrust*

SWEET. Congrats! XD
Speaking of which, how long did they take to get back to you? From when you sent out the application, I mean?
Also, HTML is easy-sauce. CSS is a bit harder, but most of that is because there's so much more that can go wrong, I think. I don't know any other programming languages, though I want to learn some PHP and Javascript eventually.

All this talk of people knowing or learning HTML and web design is making me envious. I so wish I knew how to make a decent website. I would have taken one of the classes on it ages ago, but every year its a night class on either Thursday or Friday. Thursdays have always been my busy days, so I don't want to do a night class after a day of classes, and I like to keeping my Fridays as a day off. Meh, maybe next semester.

Looks like that would work great. Thanks boss. But, signing up to pay for a blog? It's not like you even get your own url, you still gotta have .typepad at the end. Blogger is free and you get the same stuff.

Personally I like Henry Wo Yue-Kee. He does some cool stuffs.
HTML is fairly easy to learn. I managed to teach myself the basics in 8th grade with a sheet of paper with some codes on. Still need to learn CSS though.

I know that the San Diego Con was brought up in the last chat thread, but I was wondering if anybody else was planning on going to the NY Comic Con at the end of February?

apparently some people prefer these over a wacom , but *shrug* im not sure. the reviews make it seem pretty promising. worth looking into in any case.
I dunno. Looks kinda low quality.

If you haven't tried playing the Wii Sports for a few hours at a time give that a shot. You will be even more sore.
