I would've expected them to stream for a full hour instead of the half hour we got. I still wonder how accurate the information about the game already being finalized and sent in for certification is. Because people have been throwing around the idea that it takes only 2 weeks for a game to be certified, so I'm wondering how close we actually are to release.
Friday Night Fight was, as always, pretty rad. But man! What does a guy got to do to get to see some Peacock action? She's by far the character I am most interested in and I don't think I've seen a video of her getting played in like months.

I think Mike used her a few weeks ago?
But with all the recent character reveals, naturally the Friday Night Fights are going to show those off. The players (when they're not employees) are usually anxious to try out the new characters and show them off.
what's up with the sexualization/gender politics discussion a few pages back?
seriously, when i first viewed the gameplay videos, the first thing that struck my mind wasn't "oh shit i'm getting turned on" but rather "the visuals and the character design are FUCKING STYLISH AS FUCK MAN CRAAAZY"
i mean, look at Peacock. she's a fucking character straight out of Felix the Cat era cartoons. how is that not fucking AWESOME
It's because the sexualization of some characters pretty easily overrides their design otherwise (which has nothing to do with whether or not it "turns you on" or not). But lets please not get into this again.
4head and Leduc are my favorites but personally I think all of them look very appealing. Hell, I prefer most of them to the characters who are already in.
I've already expressed my love of Panzerfaust, but I will say that I think Braindrain would be pretty neat. Levitating psychic mad-science type. If I'm not mistaken, he appears as part of Painwheel's intro and psychically animates her.
Just saw these potential characters for DLC. Panzerfaust and nanocyst better happen.
I remember seeing Squiggly back when I first heard of the game. I'm a bit disappointed that she's not a launch character. She struck me right away as a Tim Burton claymation type of character.

As one YouTube commenter put it: "Squigly is for the Tim Burton goths, and Parasoul is for the Neil Gaiman goths."
Also, a lot of those characters aren't really Skullgirls characters, but from another thing Alex has been working on called Vulcan Heel. And Sabine is a standalone character, as far as I know.
...But I suppose some could become Skullgirls characters in the future? Panzerfaust originally wasn't, but is now.
Also the concept of nanocyst seems like it has alot of potential.
GodDAMN Japan sure is weird. Moegirl fightin' I can understand, but that's a whole new level of crazy.

By the way, Marin's design reminds me of another ridiculous character design I saw, oh, two years ago or so? It was a scrapped Sony (I think) project called Gunhead, featuring a character with a gun for a head. It's too bad that idea has already at least been tried in concept works because that would be really great to see how it'd get used in the context of Skullgirls.

Heh, we all thought the MOE MOE GANGSTA EDITION video was funny.
I couldn't officially blast it out because of language and stuff, but I conspicuously didn't delete it from our Facebook page when they posted it themselves.
Also, wow? No release date talk over here? I could get used to this!
I'm torn with the eternal debate of which system to get this game for. More people I know will get it for X360, but I like the pad better on PS3. PS3 means I'd have fewer friends playing (thus also reducing my overall enjoyment of the game) but getting it for 360 means shelling out for a Gold subscription, on top of possibly a new controller - either MadCatz, or just pony up a bit more and get an arcade stick.

Also, Bay Area folks should head over to NorCal Install this weekend! The final version of the game will be playable there, and MikeZ and Alex will be on-hand, as well!

Gunhead was an EA project. A lot of people had fun with it for a while here on the forums after that concept art made the rounds.

There was some pretty awesome Skullgirls play at NorCal Install this weekend.
Posts
Yeah, they're a special bunch.
Can't wait until there's a crop of competent players. This was just some folks messing around, with a brief Mike Z combo exhibition.
... My, what a boring Signature.
:winky: *ahem*
Shit, I need to pick three characters.
First up...
Friday Night Fight
Then, GameTrailers has a bonus walkthrough of Valentine with Mike in beautemous 60 FPS.
Part 1
Part 2
Also, got a fun Fan Art Friday tonight... all the entries are made with Soul Calibur V's character creator!

And then Umbrella.
Because umbrellas are cool.
Sorry about that - everyone was too busy finishing up the game to record one.

I appreciate that! But I wish we could've made it work out, all the same.
I'd be delighted to see Yipes tearing salty punk bitches apart at this game.
I'm spoilering that due to stupid and replacing it with a match.

Don't forget Tommy Ten Tons, Umbrella, Black Dahlia and Mrs. Victoria.
Also Panzerfaust is pretty excellent. Is he confirmed as a DLC character?

I need this to happen. Need.

And in case you missed it, last week's was delayed to Wednesday, on account of GDC.

The second day of NCI should be starting soon. In addition to SG, there's also BB top 8, KoF top 4 and all of GG. Should be a good stream.

The stream archive is up - jump to 2:06:00 or so to get to the Skullgirls play: http://www.twitch.tv/finestko/b/312121218
