The voting for week 5 of the Hyper X Community Facebook page is up. My awesome piece didn't make the poll, so I voted for Wakka (Jace) instead.
Go vote for Jace now!
See this guy, he has the right idea.
Actually started my own contest. For people that help spread the word on twitter for voting for me, if I win I will be giving 3 random people following me on twitter a print of their choice.
So, spread the word on your twitter to vote for me. I want to win this thing. http://twitter.com/wakkawa

also, for the Idra setting up story, he chose Clide because he knew Clide had a grudge and then chose group B that is next to the 'allstar' group A comprised of MVP and MC. Clide then chose Zenio cause of his grudge against Idra.
so essentially, Idra set it up so that Clide and coincidentally, Zenio will get the hardest path in code S because when they get past their own group, they have to fight the winners of the neighbouring group, MVP and MC
I will throw you on the land and hurl you on the open field. I will let all the birds of the air settle on you and all the beasts of the earth gorge themselves on you. I will spread your flesh on the mountains and fill the valleys with your remains. I will drench the land with your flowing blood all the way to the mountains, and the ravines will be filled with your flesh. - Ezekiel 32: 4-6
DongRaeGu (#1 Zerg on KR) is streaming. He clicks and presses keys pretty quickly.
edit: vs MKP right now
Ugh spam clicking is a headache to watch.

This is like the 10th time I've been watching a stream and somehow the Z is able to pass through bunched up units on the ramp and surround them. How the hell are they making lings walk straight thru 10 marines?

I never switched. I was considering it, but then I learned this "safe" build for PvP that gives you a fighting chance at beating 4gate bu isn't 4gate, and it sort of rekindled my love for Protoss.
it was basically a 1gate FE, he went mech, I abused his immobility to take another base and harassed a ton with warp prisms.
But it does actually illustrate how relatively ineffective warp prism drops are I dropped 4 chargelots into his main mineral line and killed maybe 4 or 5 scvs before he reacted. If that 400 minerals was 8 stim marines, it would have wrecked a ton more than that.
Terran don't know how good they have it with drops.

I'm not saying this makes it even or something but storm drops are the most epic thing ever
I'm not saying this makes it even or something but storm drops are the most epic thing ever
ill agree with that but they are also conversely more expensive
but its not so much the actual power of the drops that each race can do, its the ease of them to actually do.
I mean, every terran is likely to have 8 marines and a medivac lying around at any given time regardless of what strategy he's actually doing unless its something way unique
but I mean to pull off my warp prism harass I had to take up time from my robo facilities (which needed to be making immortals because he was massing thors and tanks) to make a warp prism just for the job, and once he had closed his mineral lines with a turret or two there wasn't much use for that prism because the game was over shortly after. I guess I could use it as a proxy pylon, but I already had a few of those around the place.

DRG is doing some pretty great stuff.
On Scrap versus Leenock, he basically held the roaches in place with a surround while a stream of banelings zipped by in the left lane of the ramp.
I was thinking about switching from my current Hatch/Queen hotkey setup (Hatches on individual hotkeys, Queens not hotkeyed. Double-tap a hatchery, select Queen, inject, repeat) but couldn't convince myself that any of the others are overall better. DongRaeGu seems to use it too, so I feel a little vindicated, but here are my thoughts on it anyway:
The downsides are of my current setup are:
- I don't have an eye on excess Queen energy for tumors or transfuses (ed: I suppose I can have all Queens on another hotkey I never use, which would fix that)
- It's not as fast as the backspace method or, possibly, minimap-casting
- If I make a macro hatch, I'll probably have to bind it together with the main hatch for that base in order to conserve hotkeys, which means I lose the inject timer display
- I have to cycle through hatches to build units instead of building them from the one control group
- I'm currently dedicating 5 hotkeys to hatcheries, but if I manage to get 6 bases in a game? It gets awkward
The upsides are:
- It is very easy to keep track of inject timers, as they appear in the infocard every time you go to build a set of units
- You can move the camera around between bases very easily
- I'm not wasting APM cycling through Queens; I'm instead cycling through Hatcheries which I need to do anyway to check for larvae
- There are no problems with Queens moving half-way across the map like with backspace or minimap casting
Pretty much I'd be completely satisfied if the macro-hatch and many-bases problems were able to be solved with my current setup. The other downsides aren't a big deal, and I really prefer the upsides of this method to the others (my #1 priority is knowing when to inject, so I need either each Hatchery or each Queen hotkeyed unless I spam minimap or backspace casting every 5 seconds).
Do I have the arguments for&against right? Does anyone know of a way to improve my current method? If Blizzard would display inject timers when you have multiple Hatcheries selected then all would be well, of course.
That was pretty cool, and I've been wondering why people have been using such an insanely powerful caster simply for their larval vomit
Apparently Catz is holding a lecture of sorts to demonstrate why mass queen actually sucks.
And Catz loves doing absurd shit, if he says something's non-viable I believe him.
Where is this?

in what way did he set him up btw?
i'm only half listening to this.
I'm happy that someone like Idra's finally said it. It gives me faith that this coming year is actually going to amazing for starcraft 2.
Clide wanted to beated IdrA.
So IdrA chose him. And then dropped out.
So now Clide is playing MVP.
heh
also holy shit he's leaving, that's great and sort of a shame but I think more a great thing.
now he gets to be the favorite in every tournament for the next ...forever.
I hope he stays in korea, I want him to win that shit.
godro
he is the best
Holy fuck guys.
If that's not a North American Star League I will eat my pants.
not that that doesn't seem pretty solid
edit - NEVERMIND! holy shit
JP has the link up on the stream.
It has the same timeframe as the showmatch where iNcontroL is making his announcement, "biggest news in Western eSports."
IdrA is moving back.
IT'S A MOTHERFUCKIN' NORTH AMERICAN STARCRAFT 2 LEAGUE Y'ALL
the awesome melted it
I guess I'm always the last to know.

so devious Idra
Steam ID
IdrA placed himself into a group that would face MVP in round 2 and drafted Clide to join him in the same oh-god-MVP-will-ruin-us group.

Where is this?
And he said that HuK is "so good" and could win the GSL.
A day after I post on the justin.tv forums saying their streams don't work for me, suddenly they work again!
