But I'm really glad they didn't brand her with Osborn. She's too much like Peter to do that kinda shit anyway.

Spider-Man & Human Torch is a good mini series, really fits with the Slott who wrote his vol.1 She-Hulk than recently. And Templeton's art really gives it a nice mellow look and does a good job capturing the subtle changes from each era, from 70's spidey to 80's black suit and even modern MJ to her retro self. The last pages are really sad only because of the current Spider-Man direction but I really recommend picking it up if you haven't read it.
I mean I am still angry about losing the Spider-Sense and don't you forget it but that page is funky and Spider-Man looks cool in his Kung Fu get-up. And I don't think him beating Iron Fist at his own game is remotely a concern, bearing in mind that Iron Fist has still got all his funky chi powers.
Yeah but the whole point is that Peter isn't the kind of guy to just shatter your head, he tries to hold back. Without his spider sense he is completely outclassed by anyone who has real combat training.
And now he isn't. Cos he has Spider-Fu. Which is balls to the wall awesome.
I kind of like the subtle implication that Pete's been kinda lazy in relying on his Spider Sense all these years, not actually taking any time to train properly.
And who's the artist on that? That style looks crazy familiar.
I still have the old Spidey Team Up issue with Speed Demon and Frog Man, I loved that shit as a kid! And wasn't Frog Man in an anthology issue thing recently?

Maybe she's still nursing. (I am not current on Marvel at all, but she did have a baby, right?)

Venom #4 was a really good issue, because they make Spider-Man out to be the real jerk he is, and Moore draws a really nice panel of Peter getting hit and it looks like it really hurt, as opposed to normal fight scenes.
Wacker said that there are no plans to bring back Ben Reilly. "It was a great character and a fun story, but I think it's been told. Unless I'm lying to you and he shows up in 'Spider-Island'...but he doesn't."
But then at the end of the panel...
The questions wrapped with a young lady winning the "Amazing" #666 by asking about the supposed death and resurrection of Kane in "Grim Hunt." Wacker handed over the prize saying, "Remember that scene coming up!" The panel then showed a mystery image of a hoodie with the Spider-Man symbol on fire.
Oh, I'm content as hell to forget Raptor, evidenced by my actually forgetting who he really was. Just that is Reillys get-up and that's his most recent ASM mention.
Although Marvel did do that Clone Saga refresher series recently....

I realize this thread is about Vanilla Spidey, but I don't want to ask in the Ultimate thread for fear of spoilers; I currently collect Ultimate Spider-Man through trade paperbacks, so I'm not up to speed on the latest arc (or post-arc).
But I'm deeply worried with what Marvel is planning, and all I can see is them severely fucking up what is my absolute favorite depiction of Spidey ever, and my favorite comic book series.
So without giving things away explicitly (but feel free to spoiler tag), what are their plans for the future of the series, if there even is one? Is Bendis still writing? Are these other "reboots" taking place in the same continuity, or are they literally starting the Ultimate universe over from scratch?
a different character will be taking over the Spider-Man identity, but we don't know anything about who it will be, whether it is a character we already know, or whether it will be a new character.
it will be in the same continuity, they are not rebooting the Ultimate universe, they are just starting a new chapter, as it were.

Iron Fist wants his look back, Peter.
He needs to get his emblem tattoed on his chest

He needs those skillz

Spider-Island: Avengers by Chris Yost and Mike McKone
Anyways, this should be killer.
And at the end he better get with Carol Danvers
That would be great.
The Shocker: Legit of the new decade.
She looks like she's going to fall out of her top any second.

Edit: Wait... was his name Raptor?
Edit Edit: Nope, different guys. But it was Raptor who had the beef with Ben Reilly.
Everyone seems content to forget that happened
