Hi everybody!
I have just finished building a new pc, installed windows 7 64 bit. All my hardware has been picked up fine except my graphics hard. In device manager it is displayed correctly as geforce 8800gtx but with (Microsoft corporation - wddm v1.1) at the end. When I go to install the 263.09 win7 64bit driver (from a magazine cover disc, still 11 more days till I'm hooked up in the new place) and get a message something along the lines of "could not find compatible hardware". This is standing between me and civ5 which makes me very angry.
Cheers.

Download the latest drivers from www.nvidia.com and try those. If everything else fails, remove Win7 and go with Windows XP.

    Good luck.

Hear my warnings, unbelievers. We have raised altars in this land so that we may sacrifice you to our gods. There is no hope in opposing the inevitable. Put down your arms, unbelievers, and bow before the forces of Chaos!

Ok I'll give that a go. Unfortunately that means all the fun of 3g.

As long as you've got the 263.09 package uncompressed on your drive still, You could try manually updating the driver through device manager using the appropriate inf.
