Pokémon Black and White and Thread All Over! (Lock Please)
I'm probably going to play Flat Battle exclusively as it's the only way to auto level. Too much of a hassle to level to 100 and double/triple battle is dragon country.
In other news, what the hell do you have to do to find an Emolga in this game? According to the dex, it's supposed to be everywhere, but I haven't seen a single one since I started the adventure.

We really should (next thread) get a good consensus going on if and how we want to do tournaments/Gym Leader stuff. I'd say this thread but y'know, 3 pages left before the lock and a new one goes up, discussion might become fractured.

Audinos are super common. There's also a guy that will trade you an Emolga if you give him a Boldore.

Didn't there used to be a setup whereby people competed for a gym leader title spot, got that put into their sig, and then fended off challenges from other people wanting to take them down?
Yes, but if I wanted to use overpowered nonsense I'd still be toting around Zekrom. :P
My team can and will beat her on their own, and most likely at lower levels than hers.
Eventually. When I get around to it.
Tomorrow, maybe.
Or just now, for instance. My only problem was Spiritomb, and even then only because she Full Restored it. Nearly everything else went down in one or two hits.
(Posing from DSi XL; apologies for any coding errors.)
Holy shit, there are Pokemon with Sturdy that can be bred to have Endeavor. I was not expecting that particular combination to be allowed by the game.
What FEAR didn't tip you off already?
level 1 Aron with sandstorm support are terrifying.
I'm more concerned that you now have the chance to pull off exactly the same thing with a level whatever Aggron, as long as you can get your opponent to try to one-shot you.

Yeah, but level 1 Arons can heal themselves to full with a Shell Bell. And redo it more than once.
And I just wanted a Charmander to be my Smugleaf's ultra awesome partner... oh well.
So I was looking around on the old intertubes for one of them DS wifi connectors so I could actually get online and.... well they don't seem to exist any more?
Is there really no other good way to get my DS online without buying a new router?
Well, if you have a computer with some spare wireless capability (for example, it's wired to the router and has a wireless card in it), then you might be able to create an ad-hoc network through which to share that computer's internet access with your DS. I never had much luck with that, but then, I didn't spend much time fighting with it either.
A rough skin Druddigon with Rocky Helmet is hilarious.
What level would you all say a pokemon with Pick Up has to be at to start getting good things, got my Lilipup in the day care now, its at lvl 28. (also, its annoying that they dont' say by how much its gone up in lvl now.)

I still propose we adopt rotation battles as standard.
Why?
1) It looks more interesting then the other modes, in my opinion.
2) It allows a full team of six.
3) It nerfs Stealth Rock.

I can't get enough of the rotation sound effect and seeing a new Pokemon swing into action knowing I've outsmarted my opponent, so I'll definitely be up for that when I get my DS online.

Stealth Rock is probably going to be less widespread this generation. There is no TM for it, meaning breeding or importing from Gen IV is the only way.
Now, "rooms" (Trick Room/Wonder Room) I'm interested to see how they play out. There's a lot of good, but slow Pokés introduced in 5th gen, so Trick Room teams might start showing up a lot more.
I still don't understand exactly how rotation battles function.
You send out three Pokemon. Two are in "reserve" while one is the one that can attack and get attacked.
The two reserve Pokemon can't attack or be attacked. In the decision phase of the turn, you can chose to rotate out the main from the reserve. Once you select an attack, the Pokemon rotate in/out and attack.
The most interesting part is that, among the three, rotating is a free action. You can switch and attack on the same turn. Rotating, mechanically, isn't counted as switching. Pokemon keep stat boosts, status effects like confusion, etc.

Then her bullshit Lucario showed up. :x
And Opelucid is so pretty, oh my god. I never realised the musicians actually modified the music when you stand near them, too.
Step to winning every single hard fight in the game at a lower level.
A. Use crazy sturdy/shell bell/sandstorm abuse.
or
B. Find a Pokémon that they can't one hit, and alternate between buff and healing items until you're an unstoppable killing machine.

While looking for the same information, I came across Serebii's handy list of what your loyal little scavenger can supposedly fetch for you.
If you take a level 4 lilipup and put it in the daycare and leave it until the e4 it'll be around 40 when you take it out.

And here I was thinking I'd gotten lucky again with wild Pokemon hold items.

It's 3 on 3, but only your lead Pokemon can attack your opponent's lead Pokemon (I haven't tried moves like Surf yet, though).
The twist is that your second and third Pokemon can be switched in for free, allowing them to take the lead and attack.
But since your opponent can do the same thing, you have to plan carefully, I can see a lot of mind game potential.
EDIT: Oh thank god in relation to Stealth Rock.

And aren't EV berries rare as fuck since you can't grow berries?
And, yeah, EV training is going to suck until the Dream World is released and even then I'm not sure how farmable the berries are.
