This may be the dorkiest request I've ever made in here. I'm trying to put together a music mix for a friend who has been challenged by some life stuff lately. I would like to arrange it with a mix of songs that make the listener feel empowered, even going so heavy-handedly as to pick pieces that suggest that you "rule the world" etc. (No queen, though) I'm not looking for sugary stuff. More stuff like "The World is Mine" by Guetta, "Monster" by Professor Green, etc. I'm mostly looking for heavy electronica or rock, though we can branch out for cool ideas.
It seems silly to post, but I'm always impressed by the musical tastes of the posters. I think people always jump at the opportunity to recommend songs, too. Much obliged!
What is this I don't even.

"The World Is Not Enough" - Garbage, and really you can't go wrong with Bond under the circumstances
Not my usual area of interest, but that was the first that came to mind.

And it seems like all is dying, and would leave the world to mourn
Check out some Stuck Mojo. It can get pretty cheesy, but it fits the hard rock/metal "I'm a bad ass and awesome" requirement fairly often.
Here are a few from the songs I've currently got on my computer at work. The first 3 here are probably more likely to be your taste than the last few (guessing based on your example songs which were more electronica than hard rock/metal), being more rock-like than super heavy metal
Judas Priest - You've Got Another Thing Coming
Nazareth - Hair of the Dog
Megadeth - Reckoning Day
Pantera - Rise
Testament - The Formation of Damnation, More Than Meets the Eye
Totally doesn't fit in with your guidelines, but you said you were cool with branching out.
RE: Your Brains by Jonathan Coulton.
Not exactly a "King of the world" kinda thing, but the singer is clearly pretty high up on the chart, at this point. Always gets me in a good mood, but that might be because my 3 year old nephew and 2 year old niece both sing it word for word when I play it for them. And they can sing it without the music. It is really awkward when a 3 year old randomly says "you're all gonna die, screaming" in a sing-song voice. Especially at the grocery store.
Love some of the tips so far. Even when they don't fit with my plan, it's cool to be offered music. Hopefully no one minds if a suggested song or songs wasn't pulled in yet. For your edification, here's my list thus far.
The world is mine (David Guetta)
Monster (Professor Green, dubstep remix)
Hysteria (Muse)
Blow my whistle, bitch (some remix or another)
Burning Beard (Clutch, props to the guy who suggested Clutch. Made me think of this song, which I fucking love. I may replace it with and/or add Immortal)
Powertrip (Monster Magnet)
Rebels of the Sacred Heart (Flogging Molly- Ok, it's only tangentially topical, but it's a good song)
The Gauntlet (Dropkick Murphys, see above)
Run this Town (Jay-z)
Handlebars (Flobots)
Robot Dinosaur (Darkest of the hillside thickets)
Machine (Violent Femmes)
Some Deltron 3030, haven't picked yet.
Biggest & the Best (Clawfinger)
Inivincible (Ok Go)

I'm glad that somebody else has suggested The Dropkick Murphys. There's quite a bit of good stuff from them, and The Gauntlet is only the beginning (although a very fine example, Darkewolfe). Hang 'Em High, off their recent album, is another good example of "Screw you, world, you're going down!" I also like Heroes of Our Past.
Plus, some ACDC. Back in Black and Hell's Bells.

Check it out, but its a pretty cool song.
This is true and a good point. I have to dodge any overly romancey crap, though.
Tying in with OP and is probably a better song for what you're looking for:
Uprising - Muse
Handlebars - Flobots
Can't see the video links at work in case this was already mentioned.
Live - MrObersmith
PSN - Obersmith
Seconding Handlebars, which is what I came here to suggest. The video really drives home the theme.
Can't think of anything specifically about conquering the world, I'm afraid.
Walk - Pantera
Back to School - Deftones
Basically most of the music I liked when I was 16. Err.
His stuff can be pretty hit or miss though, but some if it is kind of industrial. Already got beat to Handlebars and Muse, best of luck.

Also on the gangsta tip: Fuck with Dre Day, off Dr. Dre's oldschool record "The Chronic".

"TNT" would be a better pick for AC/DC, imho.
For something else off the wall, try "First Breath after Coma" by Explosions in the Sky. No lyrics, but still has that feeling of domination.
Hmm. I actually have that song on a different playlist, and while it is good, you and I have a vastly different view on what domination sounds like.
