I'm using Windows 7 32-bit. New to java and using Jcreator and taking a java class at a community college.
I can't compile using jcreator. It keeps asking for for the home path. I set it to C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_24\bin which is where the javac.exe file is and set the docs location to where the doc file is and it does nothing! I try to compile again, it again says the home path has not been set, and the locations are back to what they were.
I have an assignment due tomorrow and need a solution ASAP! Help!
Do you have permissions to modify the project file where you're setting the home path?
Edit: Or maybe it's marked as read-only?
Alright progress! It is marked as read-only, I uncheck that box, click Apply, then Ok, and I open up the Properties window and read-only checkbox is checked again! Another weird problem!
