Yeah, I mean I would prefer to play this on PC. But I have a 360 so I might as well use it sometimes. Unless the PC version is going to have some extra features, I have no problem just getting this tomorrow and not months from now.
Hell, I'd pro'lly end up playing it with my 360 controller on my PC anyways.
Goodness. This looks pretty fantastic. Better than I had hoped really. I still worry a bit about replayability, though.
I tend not to worry too much about replayability for games that are $15 or less, provided they keep me entertained for 6+ hours. And just the sandbox aspects of this alone could keep me entertained for that long
Only done the first few levels, I like being able to choose when I exit a level. I enjoyed turning the big river into plains and having the animals run around it in the second or third level.
this game is fucking amazing and gorgeous. there was a bit where (minor spoilers)
i had a village surrounded on all sides by water, and a massive wave rolled in. the only thing keeping my people alive was the frantic playing of music to keep the water at bay. the water churned and raged, but it was kept away from my village just with that one power. it was so freaking epic. and you get so many cool powers in some of these levels, like infinite earth which is awesome.
When you drop sand/lava/whatever, it spreads out, so you don't need to be super accurate at any time. The controller works just fine.
I bet it'll be prettier on the PC. Nothing against the consoles but games like this are clearly designed with PC input in mind and then ported to consoles with a workable control scheme.
And since Valve raped my wallet over the summer camp sale I have a lot of playing to do in other games to justify the money spent. I think I'll be OK with waiting a month for this one.
Truth is beautiful, without a doubt; but so are lies.
I kept on trying to get them across rivers by temporarily sucking them dry. It didn't work, well I guess it kinda did work. because when they washed up downstream they eventually made it to the village.

Or is it possible that you still can't actually DOWNLOAD it until tomorrow? I'm going to give it a try.
--edit -- it worked, downloading now. Woohoo! 2 1/2 hours early!!
I'd only just bought the points as well

Hmm. Can't see it on the website or from the dashboard. Maybe it releases later for some countries.
Excite
I think you answered your own question.
After being reminded of this from the Civ thread I now need to play this game while listening to this:

Why are you all looking at me like that?
Yeah, it seems that way to me too. I still have a ton of other games I'm playing anyway so a wait won't bother me much.
