A friend of mine asked me to edit some video she recorded from this crappy panasonic mini dvd camcorder. The dvd is finalized and has 3 .vob files with the video she wants edited on it. I can open these files and view them in their entirety in VLC or Nero. However, if I try to convert these files in any way, I get only the first few seconds of each video. I'm assuming this has something to do with .vob files having segments of some sort (I really have no idea how they work). Anyone know how I might be able to get the full video converted? Thanks in advance.
The easiest way to work with .vob files is using TMPGEnc XPress, but it is not free.
