It's kind of sad that except for the usual cast of characters when I look at some of these I think to myself, five issues, seven, maybe twenty if lucky depending on the comic.
I hope Krul doesn't fuck it up. He can do good stuff, so I'm hopeful.

So Justice League and JLI for me so far.
Wonder Woman seems promising with Chiang, but man For Tomorrow was so bad and that had some glimpses of Azzarello writing WW in it that will make me wait a month or two after it launches.
That Firestorm cover doesn't thrill me. He's another one of those characters that I carry a torch for. I'd rather see an Ultimate Spider-Man-ish high school student as superhero book with someone who can draw teenagers.
I dont think you have made a single post in this thread that wasn't bitching
I said Wonder Woman and Firestorm had the potential to be good.
Honestly, what am I supposed to say?
JT Krul writes stuff that runs the gamut from absolute shit, to bog-standard. Seriously, I bought some of his Teen Titans, and it may not be Rise of Arsenal, but it's not good either. Eric Wallace wrote a comic about a woman that immolates a guy with her lavagina. Tony Daniel's been writing shitty Batman stories for over a year now, filled with nothing but empty call-outs to better stories, and legacy villains. Francis Manapul's another artist that DC wants to be a writer, even if it hasn't worked out with any of the last three they tried it with. Dan Jurgens wrote terrible Booster Gold stories for a few years, filled with maudlin bullshit, and I didn't hear glowing reviews for Time Masters.
I mean, this is what DC's leading off with too. These are the creators on some of the top-flight books, that are ideally supposed to get people excited about what's coming up. I can only imagine what the next 41 creative teams are going to look like.
having seen the Batman costume from two different artists, it looks to me to be the same Batman and that the new costume is heavily influenced by the Arkham Asylum video game
I like that new Wonder Woman costume. Its sort of a hybrid of the original with the current one from JMS's run.
The horrible shoulder straps are gone, the chestplate is a bit more prominently a W and her bracers look a bit bigger. And her pants have stars on them, which retains a bit of the classic feel. Also much better boots than before.
Well people are allowed to say they don't like the look of something
on the other hand I think that change tends to be viewed negatively and we should try and see that good aspects of this. After all it's better to be positive and enjoy the good than just bemoan the bad.
also Algertman Bendis made the Avengers into the biggest superhero franchise currently around, essentially.
He did not fuck up the line.

Project Rooftop's gonna have a field day with this
I would think DC would try and get JH Williams art out on the shelf even if it was too late in the game to change things with this threeboot. If it doesn't work with current stuff make it an Elseworlds.
Is there really a market for a Mr. Terrific or Captain Atom ongoing?
I was really hoping to be floored by some of these creative team announcements but this is a bit of a disappointing start.
I'll give JLI a go because of Lopresti. I'm really pulling for Jurgens but after Time Masters and Booster I'm starting to think he's way past his expiration date.
I'll also give Flash a shot because I'm a sucker for that character. Really hope Wally is back in the spotlight, if not this book maybe another.
I think WW and Aquaman have potential too but I need to know more about the direction the books are taking. This is still a bit too confusing for me to make any judgments.
I have the last two months of my DC stack sitting in my closet untouched…I really should read that shit, but after this news it's getting hard for me to care about the current events.
So far it's JLA, JLI, Wonder Woman, and Firestorm for me. I either actively dislike or just plain don't give a shit about Hawkman, Aquaman, Captain Atom, Deadman, and Terrific. GA is on the borderline for me. So is Firestorm but I will give anything by Gail a shot.

well I will probably ignore that then

Man, I sure hope they bring back Brad Meltzer for an Elongated Man series!

Lets hope this is Teen Titans Krul and not Arsenal Krul.

Dave Finch writing Batman instead of Daniel possibly? Or just put him back as an artist after the whole Dark Knight debacle.
I think it might be, Krul probably realises that Arsenal was bad given on the reception it had.
And let's be honest, everyone writes a bad book now and again.
And incidentally is that August General in Iron on the JLI cover?
Because he was great
Plus Guy Gardner and Tora back on a team together yay!

Still have no idea who the chick in black and gold is
Also, the cover of Firestorm looks like the story should be subtitled "Jason Rusch and Ronnie Raymond: Bros".
maybe that girl who was his friend in the Great Ten book
the one who couldn't touch anyone
I dunno but I am happy to read about Dan Jurgens doin the JLI again
but I swear I have seen you post about how much you hate Johns/Krul/etc. Half a dozen times.
We get it.
Plus I really doubt this is their spearhead line-up. It is super eclectic and is likely to show how varied the new series will be.
And Rans good catch on the Batman outfit syncing up with the game.
Gotta be Donna Troy
(Love the names of the Great Ten so much)
Yet Bendis is still on the Avengers.
Really
Really, I'm not out to ruin anyone's fun. If people are excited about these books, good for them.

it won't end well

I was skeptical but if fucking Mr. Terrific can than anything is possible

They don't know. That's the whole point of this exercise. New start. New distribution. See what sticks.
