so i'm going to be taking the LSAT tomorrow and have the jitters like you could not believe.
i also know that, while i can do the section reasonably well, the puzzles are going to give me hell regardless.
so you guys have any tips on general relaxation and calm focus for a big exam? or any specific tips on the amazingly awesome puzzles section that helped you out?

They bumped up the difficulty of the puzzle section a shitload when I took it, so just remember that at least your puzzle section is going to be more in-line with your practice tests, instead of being harder by an order of magnitude.
But yeah, if you've studied, and done practice tests, just relax, get a good dinner, good night's sleep, and get up early enough to eat breakfast.
Any tips on strategies will be worthless the night before the exam. I assume you've been studying and taking lots and lots of practice exams, right?
If so, you should have found techniques that work for you.
The best you can do right now is relax, and think about ANYTHING besides the exam. Hang out with friends, see a movie, whatever. Just don't get drunk (duh), and make sure you get plenty of sleep (also duh). You've done everything you can do. There's not point in stressing over it now.
so yes, i have been doing a metric shit tonne of practice tests, drills, all of that.
my weakest part (still) is the puzzles. however, from what i've seen (and been told), more recent exams (as in in the last year and a half) have been moderately easier on the puzzles.
i'm praying that holds.
t: Thanatos, out of curiousity, when did you take the exam? and are you in law school now?
There's only one graded section of puzzles, so if that's your weakest area, and you're doing fine on everything else, you should end up with a good score.
Also, if you don't do as well as you expected to, don't stress over it.
The test isn't always a good indication of how you'll do in law school.

If you've been practicing a lot, you should be OK once you get started.
The consequences of messing up are less severe - I THINK (please don't rely on this statement since i've yet to look at admissions websites lately) they've stopped averaging the score for re-takes and just using the highest.

It's up to individual schools, but from what I've heard, the trend is in that direction.
Or, if they do average them, the most recent score is weighed much higher.

Good luck.
In all seriousness it's best to go in there prepared, but loose, stress will cause you to make more mistakes then actual non knowledge.

Man, I almost miss the exams period.
