iPad transfer purchase failure $(*&@#(*&#(*
So I plug in my iPad. I right click on my iPad in the Devices section of iTunes. I click "Transfer Purchases". It starts transferring purchases. It does not finish transferring purchases. It gives me an error saying "iPad failed to sync warblegarbleflarble."
What. The. Fuck.
It seems to happen more often when large files need to be transferred (like 120 megs or more), forcing me to initiate the download on my desktop. Which is okay, I guess, but really annoying.
What am I doing wrong? It seems to "lose the connection" to my iPad while trying to upload from my iPad to iTunes.
I'm about ready to go to the store, buy an apple, come home, open the window, and throw the apple about of the window. As a symbolic gesture. Of being pissed off at apple.
I also cannot backup my iPad, which means I can't update the firmware.
Sounds like you have an issue with either the iTunes installation or the firmware on your iPad.
It also sounds like you haven't updated to iTunes 10.3, because it now automatically downloads purchases made on your iPad on all of your devices at the time of purchase, including iTunes itself. This means syncing no longer has to bring over purchased apps, since it downloads them for you automatically.
I would recommend uninstalling iTunes, installing 10.3, and seeing if that fixes the issues. With 10.3 installed, you'll also be able to view (and re-download) all of your purchases through the iTunes Store in iTunes, by clicking on 'Purchases' under quick links on the right

Thanks - I'll try that in the morning.
