By the way, Hunter/Prey is a really well made low-budget sci-fi film, by the way. Reminiscent of Enemy Mine and other 70s/80s sci-fi in a lot of ways. Watch it if you have a spare hour and a half to kill, because it's not bad at all, besides some sluggish pacing early on.
This, really do this.
My radio co-host and I would weekly watch a bad film so we picked Hunter/Prey expecting it to be terrible. Actually turned out to be a really solid, independent sci-fi film.
Mortal Sky, the moment that did it for my c-host & I was when the mask came off.
Hunter/Prey is acceptable
It has some fantastic makeup and some adequate costumes
But it's writing is generally poor and the "twist" is completely predictable and the acting is lame and the ending is extremely anti-climactic
It's no Pitch Black, is what I'm saying, but it's better put together than most indie features
A few of my friends told me Due Date was actually okay and I got it from Netflix but then my roommate and some others told me it sucked so now I'm afraid to watch it
I watched due date because my sister bought it
it was okay
but the story is basically "guy and WACKY IDIOT have adventures and guy is stupid enough to stick with WACKY IDIOT the entire time"
Netflix Canada was stupid so I cancelled it. The last straw came when they didn't have Babylon 5, because almost every TV show I look for, they don't have.

I don't know if I'd exactly say it is fair to compare Pitch Black & Hunter/Prey simply from a budget standpoint.
Pitch Black had a budget of around $23 million while Hunter/Prey was working with something akin to $500 thousand.
The entirety of Sports Night is on Netflix instant. It was down for a few days for some reason, but has returned. Love the hell out of this show, and the laugh track isn't nearly as annoying as I remember. I think when Comedy Central was running it it had a pretty small pool of episodes so there are probably bunches here I've never seen. Hope it stays as good.
And then I've still got a lot of Twin Peaks to watch. Netflix is fantastic.

The best there is in the respective fields of guys and idiots
roles as subtle and funny as he is
I don't think I could watch galifianakis in another role like this
not willing to accept it
So, not very then.
he's actually pretty funny on his own
But it was inherently inferior for lack of John Candy.
I meant his subtlety.
I wanna watch that again.
Dog Soldiers is on youtube if you want to watch it in a little box on your computer, since it is too obscure to bother about copyright claims...
Spiced Girl:
Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
Goldshlagger
triple sec
cranberry and orange juice

It's been said that Beetleborgs and V.R. Troopers will also be offered on Netflix.
Let's Play Final Fantasy 'II' (Ch10 - 5/17/10)
Just bad
I figured "hey RDJ and Zack Galifinakis, it can't be all bad"
But it kind of is
Except for one part in the entire movie which you can watch on youtube and lasts all of ten seconds, Due Date is bad

I mean I guess it can be
Like, you don't have the money for good writers
But uh
If you don't have the money for good writers, you probably don't have the money for, well, a movie
give uncle zoltar a hug
Budget is a budget thing, quality will spring forth from it.

No?
if you cannot find that cheap diamond in the rough, it does cost money to produce a quality product

Might have to watch that
It'll be a sad day indeed when we don't have Drew Struzan to make awesome posters
