I have been refusing to pay any interest to the case because I know it will make me mad. Even hearing that right there just makes me want to rage so hard.

Forgot to mention this bit, not only accused her family members of killing the kid, but said that the father and brother molested her when she was little, as if that somehow makes killing your own offspring cool.
While none of this proves murder, if you bring a child into this world, and you willingly drug it and leave it home alone while you leave to party... Well I'm sorry that's enough for me to consider you unworthy of life. The child did not decide to enter the world, that harpy gave birth to her. For a mother to have that sort of mindset shows that her daughter was not going to live long regardless of what actually happened.
I hate DCF (I live in Florida, they are a terrible group, who can't get their heads out of their asses, and constantly make awful decisions.) but this is one of the few times I would have zero issue with a kid being removed from the home and placed with relatives or in foster care.

My understanding of the case is that the prosecution massively fucked it up and the defense was massively incompetent.
It's not that she was not guilty.
The state didn't prove its case.
