Also, I doubt Bulletstorm and Dead Space 2 will go on sale for less than the $12 each that Origin had them for very briefly about a month ago, but I wouldn't mind being disappointed.

Wait...can you do tickets any day after they start? Or can you only get tickets for completing a challenge the day of?

Also, if you're trying to do the wishlist challenge, I already had more than 10, so I just busted it below 10 then added games again and it worked.

You can do tickets any day during the sale.

Some games even had the ticket cheevos added well before the tickets showed up, such as the Last Stand one for Dawn Of War 2 Retribution.

I just need one more ticket and I'll have everything I wanted from the booth. Maybe I'll do the L4D2 Cold Stream one later. While its probably not much compared to some people round here I'm pretty pleased with my 17 tickets.

When I get back from vacation next week i'll run a contest that involves M&B warband? I'm thinking either: 1) a grand melee with 6 or 8 players battling it out, or 2) i hunt you all for sport on horseback. if anyone kills me, you get a prize.

Just started playing Magicka. The combat is one of the most unique systems I've ever seen! I've killed myself probably just as much as an enemy has killed me. Really excellent so far. Rather difficult, but awesome!

I dunno, I don't really like Magicka. That said I haven't had a chance to play it multiplayer. My problem with it is that there are only a couple combinations of spell effects that do any real damage, and so you use those over and over. The concept is really great, and something I've looked for for years, but the execution suffers.

You can game it using console commands.

When the game begins:

bot_mimic 1

This will cause the bot to do everything you do on top of you, letting you nab the center point on Kalt that requires a teammate.

NOTE: You cannot get achievements on servers where cheats are active. That's why you turn them off after spawning the bot and reset the round.

Did this, except just turning the cheats on and off in a single line works too, just sv_cheats 1;bot;sv_cheats 0

I actually find myself varying quite a bit. Water followed by Lightning definitely has its place vs crowds. Fire can be great against big things. Ice blasts is super useful when you're dealing with hard hitters, mines can be handy, ice shard bullets are super useful for dealing with crowds at range.

And then you've got beam mode/mine mode/nova mode, and after that you've still got the actual magicka--Crash to the Desktop is hilarious, and Thunder Bolt is pretty badass when it actually hits, as just two examples.

Just run it solo, mang. Set difficulty to easy and run it with 3 bots. You'll have absolutely no problem.

Is there any way to get the Mass Effect 2 Digital Version on your wishlist? Because every time I try to add it I just get the normal version and if somehow I win the contest I don't want the normal version but the digital one. I'm not buying it because I don't want to until I can pick up a version with all of the DLC built in which probably means waiting until 3's out but I don't care I have plenty of other games to play right now.

I found Bait to be really useful. For one thing, you can keep using it throughout the level to reroute the zombies to where you want them to go. This is fantastic.

Grabbed another 5 tickets last night. Guardian of Graxia is easy to do on the second mission if you draw the right command in the first turn.

The audiosurf ticket was fun and somber at the same time, I'm rebuilding my itunes library and the only slow song I had on hand was Johnny Cash's Hurt. Very twisted.

Terraria is the only thing I'm waiting on. Mass Effect 1 is tempting but I should be strong as I just got ME2 on ps3.

I will be so conflicted if Bulletstorm goes on sale tomorrow. The demo did NOT run well on my machine, so I have to crank it down to low everything in order to get a decent framerate. But at the same time, I had a ton of fun with it.

I'm hoping to build a new gaming PC in a couple of months. Maybe it will pop up in the Winter sale.

Also, my Steam keeps trying to download Portal: First Slice. Stopping it and deleting Portal's local content only works until I restart Steam/my machine.

Any ideas?

I use Xpadder. You have to program the controls (ie, assign WASD to movement keys) but it works well for me, but setting up profiles can be a bit annoying, but quick.
