Steam announced today as part of a greater plan to rule the world that they would begin implementing 'every day sales'. Each day a countdown meter will usher in a new sale along with a subliminal message that will slowly but surely convert you all to Gabeism.

Guys The Witcher 2 is so good. It's like... okay the first fights are annoying, but it is definitely the RPG that The Witcher 1 was trying to be, and better than every other RPG put out in the past 5 years.
Also, one of the few games to actually look noticeably better than I expect of this generation. I am happy to find my computer not having any trouble with all the shit turned to 11.
Shhhhhhhh. I can't play Witcher2 until it's released for Xbox . So shitty.
Man, I thought Monday Night Combat was my worst purchase since the game sucks, but I was wrong. X3 is clearly my worst purchase since it now owns my soul.
Monday Night Combat is still boring though.
Sadly, I have to agree with you on both accounts. X3 looked like something I'd really like, but I just can't stand extremely complicated games that drop you into their sandbox without as much as a decent tutorial. In X3 and this threads defense, everyone did say that the learning curve was a wall and that in order to enjoy it, it would take a long time and effort.
As far as MNC goes... I'm still sad. Like genuinely sad.
I thought I was the only one. I played it for a game or two, and didn't really enjoy it all that much. It felt slow and not as chaotic and fun as I thought it would be. After playing it at PAXEast a couple of years ago and talking with the guys who made it, I want to love it, but I just can't get into it.
I don't get all the hate about MNC. Were you expecting, a TF2 clone? I loved the game, personally (though wish there were more maps).
Also, I've gotten X3: TC but still need to figure out a bunch of stuff. I only today figured out that you can accelerate time (thank god!). Its ok, but i think its one of those games that start slow and pick up once you've accumulated some wealth.
Finished downloading Fallout: New Vegas six hours ago. Time played? 5 hours. Steam sales are the best value for Aussies, get great games at amazing prices. Fallout is around 80 bucks here on retail :S

I seriously cannot stop tinkering with Spacechem. Just keep saying "1 more puzzle" until 3:00a.m. every night, and then am tired as crap all day the next day.

I think I am still in the demo content for SpaceChem. I am terrible at that game, but I love it.
It's also nice to play through BIT.TRIP RUNNER again. I played the hell out of it on the Wii, but the online leaderboards is a nice extra feature.
Yay, I just won keys for Cthulhu Saves the World and Breath of Death VII during @werezompire's twitter trivia! Thanks guys! Since you're so generous I will probably buy the copy I planned on buying tomorrow anyway and gift it to a buddy of mine
PS: If you're reading this, do I just enter the keys in Steam's activation window?

Yeah, just select Activate a Product and enter in the codes when it prompts you to.

I had to stop because that shit was invading my dreams unlike anything since Puzzle Quest.

Did I say hate? Nope, I said sad.
As in sad that, like you said, there wasn't more maps. Sad that the community died out fairly quickly. Sad that class balancing issues weren't addressed quicker, if at all. Sad that no one really seemed to play blitz mode. Sad that most public crossfire matches just ended up being "wait til OT and zerg/juice rush the money ball" despite the fact that server couldve prevented this. Sad that the server browser was straight broken for too long after release.
Sad isn't mad. I had fun to, but I wish they would've address glaring issues sooner.
Edit: To the devs credit, I'm sure some, if not most of the things I mentioned have been addressed now, months after release. For instance, the server browser worked when I played during the Summer Sale. So.... yeah, congrats devs.

My mistake. Thought you were agreeing with the previous poster. And yes, I'm a little sad that the game didn't develop into something more.

(I edited while you were posting, sorry I wasnt quicker).. Still, I pre-ordered it and played in the beta and really did see the potential it had back then. Hopefully there are still people playing, cause I'm sure one day the rose colored glasses will pop back on and I'll give it another shot.
I still smile at the memories of charging people off the side of map. That will never not be fun.

So happy to hear I'm not the only one. If I close my eyes I can see the puzzle I'm working on and my mind starts lining up production lines trying to figure it out. It's like I'm constantly chewing the mental gristle of this game.
I'm hoping I can finish the content soon. I'm only 2 planets away from game ending.
And what's the next anticipated sale? Thanksgiving again?
Halloween or maybe Spring.
And I just about finished a game that I bought in the sale already - BIT.TRIP RUNNER is almost done. I'm on 3-11. After that it's just 3-BOSS and I'm checking it off the list.

Huh?
I'm an idiot and have no idea why I typed Spring instead of Thanksgiving.
So, I didn't get a chance to do this earlier (my son's sick, so I stayed home yesterday), but everyone should know that Alecthar is not only a fount of PC hardware knowledge, but also a gentleman of the highest caliber.
I've sworn off buying for myself, participating in contests, or accepting random acts of generosity. But it feels ungrateful to turn down an actual gift of thanks. So I humbly and thankfully accept your completely unnecessary gift of ME2. I anxiously look forward to the day when I eventually get around to enjoying it.
Looking forward to Cthulhu Saves the World and Breath of Death tomorrow. That and Dungeons of Dredmor comes out the same day. Never going to finish serving The Newell.
Want to win a free copy of Cthulhu Saves the World & Breath of Death VII on Steam before it comes out tomorrow? All you have to do is post an image of Cthulhu or other Lovecraftian monstrosity. I'll pick a few of my favorites to get codes.
You have 30 minutes.
EDIT: Sorry, I didn't realize that the Steam contest rules had changed and image posting in the actual thread is banned. Please send your images via PM to me. I'll post my favorites when the contest is over.

They already have daily sales. One game/day.

Probably. Major Steam Sales seem to be Summer, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Maybe also Spring (honestly can't remember)

Jesus Christ, it's like I spend 90% of the game just restarting because it gets stuck on loading screens and just loops them forever.

What about a musical version of The Shadow Over Innsmouth?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tTHn2tHhcI
Dang, that is tempting.... crap....
Edit: As long as it has easy to connect/configure controller support I may actually freaking get it.
The idea of Shoggoths always freaked me out quite a bit.
