So I just got a copy of World's Largest Dungeon in the mail today. Found a used but unopened copy (don't ask me how that works) on Amazon for $50 including shipping, and figured yeah why not. My D&D campaign had been on hold for a while due to the amount of homework it had begun to require, so I went with a pre-boxed campaign that could take us a while and holy shit this looks like it is precisely that.
So, I'm looking for advice from players/DMs who have run this campaign in the past. What should I look out for? What should I add/ignore? Anything will be usefull.
Also, they were selling copies of the World's Largest City, but I couldn't find a single review of it. Is it actually out? Did it just get released or something? Is it total dogshit? What's the story?
Thanks.

Some Britishers recorded their entire trip through the WLD, and all the sessions are up for download.
I downloaded a copy of all the maps off the intarwebs, in both DM info and just rooms versions. I then put the player version over the DM version in photoshop, then put a black layer over that. I project this on my wall, onto a special dry erase surface, and I can then reveal the map a piece at a time, and draw on it with dry erase markers. It makes it very easy for me. Then I just draw the relevant sections of the dungeon on my Mondomat for combat.
The book is very light on the magic items, at least early on, so players may bitch about that quite a bit. Mine do, but I'm not caving, they are used to Monty Haul anyway. Also, like they say in the intro section, awarding XP on an encounter by encounter basis is probably not a wise idea, as they will be level 8 by the time they leave section one. I'm just more or less giving them a level a session, and I'll tone it down later if it becomes an issue.

Just kidding, my GM made that up.

The best part of that is that our less evil player missed the session where the halfling went in the box, and the rest of the party convinced her that it was an insane mimic that thought it was a halfling trapped in a chest.
Anway...
From a player's perspective, the traps get old *REALLY* fast. There's at least one region that's nothing but traps. I understand the need to keep rogues involved and feeling useful, but it's excessive to have DC 35+ traps in a region for level 6 characters that do lethal damage to a high con dwarf fighter who makes the save.
It seems to be a good resource, but the only reason our campaign has done well is because of jdarksun's ability to correct all the typos and inconsistencies while running wild with whatever insanity of the day we come up with.
I CAN SEE FOREVER!
The Crimson Scribe's maps are the blnk ones, and they only go up to region F. I'll just blank them out myself once my party gets that far. Also, they are missing a few things, they took any room on accessable by secret door off the map, I had to add those back by hand.
Oh, and the Official AEG Maps are of course the actual maps with everything on them.
