And if you've played Max Payne, then Max Payne 2. And if you've played them both, then play them again.

I was steaming into this thread all ready to throw a fit because I thought none of you college-age fetuses would remember or care about Max Payne. But I was wrong! So wrong. My heart has grown two sizes.
Seriously, it's been ten years and Max Payne is still one of the very best games you can play on PC.
To the list of what's been mentioned, I would also add Beyond Good & Evil and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
Prototype is the Midweek deal on steam too so I throw in my nomination for that. Runs fantastically tbh. Not enough BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM nominations people!
Darksiders was crafted so that literally everyone could enjoy it.
They took bits of clay from almost every popular game and pounded on em with a Nerf bat until they formed one game. What didnt you like?
Jack of all trades, master of none. Everything needed improvement. The puzzles have been done better elsewhere, the combat was a chore, and the story and cutscenes lasted too long/weren't mixed right/were just plain dumb.
The art was nice, but War is so stupidly over-designed. He looks like he should be on some middle-schooler's notebook.
Overall it's still a good game, but everything could have used more polish.
Darksiders 2 looks like it might fix the combat, so here's hoping.

And I think I'm one of the few people who didn't enjoy Darksiders, but odds are you'll like it. Most people did.
