He Say You Brade Runner Sequel (and Ridley Scott Appreciation Station)

edited August 2011 in Social Entropy++
So rumbling is that after Ridley Scott is done working on Prometheus, pretty much an Alien prequel that he says is not exactly an Alien prequel, he's Gonna be working on a Blade Runner sequel holy poop!

If you haven't seen Blade Runner, go out and see it. Spectacular

And basically, watch most films Ridley Scott has worked on, even weaker stuff like Robin Hood was alright, which in my mind is a direct sequel to KIngdom of Heaven, one of my favorite movies ever (be sure to see the director's cut!)

Look at that man's imdb and see how kick butt he is! rawr! (though yes, there have been a few misses)
1970s: The Duellists (1977) · Alien (1979)

1980s: Blade Runner (1982) · Legend (1985) · Someone to Watch Over Me (1987) · Black Rain (1989)

1990s: Thelma & Louise (1991) · 1492: Conquest of Paradise (1992) · White Squall (1996) · G.I. Jane (1997)

2000s: Gladiator (2000) · Hannibal (2001) · Black Hawk Down (2001) · Matchstick Men (2003) · Kingdom of Heaven (2005) · A Good Year (2006) · American Gangster (2007) · Body of Lies (2008)

2010s: Robin Hood (2010) · Prometheus (2012)

Just a new installment. No one knows if it's a prequel or a sequel.

It's unfortunate that there is no way to make Sean Young hot again.

No amount of computating can do it.

The directors cut is the very best historical sword-y type movie and so dang good and makes Orlando bloom a sympathetic decent actor, whoda thunk it?

This is and always has been a pointless question.

Just be sure to watch the Director's cut instead of the theatrical release.

William Monahan (the screenwriter) originally envisioned a Kingdom of Heaven trilogy with Bloom eventually becoming Robin Hood

I have blade runner but I tried watching it and fell asleep I assume half way through.

It's not bad at all though, I was enjoying it.

I think it's time I watched Blade runner again.

It's been so long I barely remember anything about it.

If they make a Blade Runner movie that is truer to "Do Androids dream of electric sheep" I'll be sure to watch it.

Of course androids don't dream of electric sheep. They count electric sheep to help fall asleep, duh.

id rather have them make a blade runner prequel see the only two things I've ever wanted to see

    1. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion
    2. c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tanhauser Gate

    Maybe.

    The key things to remember?

    1) The movie is ridiculously pretty.

    2) Deckard is the world's least competent cop. Book Deckard is human, married, and good at his job. Film Deckard is zero for three.

    Robin Hood was shit

It could have at least been rated R and had some graphic violence and titties in it

Deckard isn't an incompetent cop. He's a really good bladerunner who's incompetent at being human.
