So I've been having some problems with my computer hard-locking and eventually BSODing. I'm on windows XP and I would like to know how to set things so the error screen will stick around long enough for me to read it. Help?

This is often a setting in the BIOS somewhere.

    1. Right click My Computer
    2. Select Properties
    3. Click Advanced Tab
    4. Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings to open the Startup and Recovery dialog box.
    5. Clear the Automatically restart check box, and click OK the necessary number of times.

Also more cases than not the error will be recorded in the event log if you missed it.

unless the error has something to do with the hard drive itself being inaccessable.
