If you think your teammates are mouthbreathers, it is your duty to drag them kicking and screaming to victory. Gank their lanes, help them push their tower down quickly, take towers solo, whatever is necessary.
Winning your own lane is not sufficient.
Yeah, because if you can't 1v5 guys around your own skill level (low or not), 3-4 of which have had the shit fed out of them, obviously that means you're bad.
I'm not very good with him yet, but I fuckin' love Singed. Tossing them behind me into allies and having them run behind me into their death is always a beautiful special thing to behold.

You're not 1v5, you're 2.5v2 or whatever. Small engagements and so on.
Or bait a 1v2 not in your favor and just occupy their time while your team does anything at all worthwhile elsewhere.
But uh seriously the whole point was to keep the game from getting to the point where 3-4 of the enemy team have been fed. No shit you can't do anything about that.
My friends and I have decided to grind to 1490 in 3v3 to get gold before season 1 is over, so far I'm at 1433 and we haven't lost a game yet with our Zilean/Xin/Jarvan comp. It's been months since I've played 3v3 before yesterday though, I was wondering what some other really good 3v3 heroes are currently in case one of ours gets picked or banned. Are Singed and Mundo still the gods of TT?

I would imagine so. Teemo is also infuriating in TT.
It is just hard for me to see a visible gain in skill. That to me is frustrating, in FPS games I can tell when I get better at aiming. In SC2 I can tell when my build order is better. In LoL I have trouble telling when my team work is better, it could be the four other guys.
Laning phase is where it is most obviously your skill and your skill alone if you have a solo lane. Last game as Trynd missed 2 last hits in the first three waves, as well as keeping my health topped off and harassing a little. I then went on to kill my lane opponent a few times as well as continuing to significantly exceed everyone else in last hits.
But still, teamwork is so essential you really cannot ignore it. Your ability to quickly evaluate that a teammate is about to die and shield them in time, for example, is so radically important that no amount of lane badassery can eclipse poor choices when teamfights roll around.
Fuck, play with me if you want to know if you are getting better. I'll tell you that you are a god damn hero when you do well, and ask you to explain why you thought you should be bottom when 9 other players were at Baron, for example.
This might change a little with dominion, since it is smaller fights, so I think 1v1 skill will be more important. You might prefer that because I think baddies may lose you fewer games in that mode. We'll see. And in any case, it will be a breath of fresh air.

I like WW in TT. Take Flash / Smite, and rush a Chalice, then build madreds or wriggle's and normal tankwick stuff. I've run way higher than 50% w/l ratio with that build.
So if I want to start playing some group queue games (if not actual ranked games) with other PA players, what's the protocol on that? Do I give you all my lololol name and get friendlisted, do I stumble into random vent channels, what's the scoop?
Also his ult remains HILARIOUSLY EFFECTIVE with Anivia. You can't miss, they have to just eat your storm, and you have plenty of time to get into position to wall off their exit.
And, well, the enemy Teemo? 20 stacks. 1000 damage with shrooms.

Just played against a PAX Sivir skin.
I was Singed 1v2 against her and Lee Sin. (No jungler, though they had laning Shaco who ended up being their best player).
I finished 4/2/17. Both Sivir and Lee Sin ended 1-8-2.
8-)
(Seriously that gamed owned, it was pure classic Singed, the type I haven't seen in my elo bracket in forever. They just KEPT CHASING ME. I'd survive getting ganked alone by all five of them and slowly lead them to my team. Orianna finished 17/2/17 because I kept setting up triple kills for her that way. :P)

Whats some jungling ganking tips? I know I need to know the ability of my hero more. I have good map awareness using f1-f5 to quickly look at a lane and see enemy health. But I rarely get any kills. I'm thinking any time the enemy is pushing near the tower and I'm close I should go in.
But mostly I get no kills or just get enough hits to send them back to fountain. And now I'm a lvl lower than I would be had I stayed in the jungle.
The best advice I picked up was actually from a stonewall video and something that, since incorporating into my ganks more consciously, has vastly improved my kill rate.
Primarily, if you have a gap closer, only use it once they've gotten past you, NOT to initiate the fight. What you should instead do is circle behind them, then walk in and start the pain, using your dash or what have you after they've burned a flash or maybe landed a CC and are out of your melee range.
Aside from that, forcing an enemy back and/or to use a summoner spell is actually okay for a gank attempt. You relieve pressure for your ally, let them get some xp/last hits for free, maybe get some tower damage in, and in the best case you can circle back in in a minute and kill them now that their spells are down. If you time your ganks right, on top of that, you also lose very little xp since your camps are respawning. Hell, if you're actually behind, ask if one of your solos needs just relief and take their lane for a wave or two while they head back to the fountain.
Thank you for the tips/advice! I can see how making them bust a spell/b is helpful. Sometimes the kill stats blind you to if you're actually being useful.
Right after asking this I stumbled across some great YouTube videos on jungling. Long winded (5 15 min video serious) but very good. OP material?
Not digging the new Kayle still. Seems like the only logical build now is to stack atk spd with some AD to pack some extra punch. Any AP she gets doesn't really help her extra dmg from E much. But even if I get the gold to get all the items she needs to get decent, there are alot more ranged carries/support that play her role better.
Some of the only match-ups I think would be worth it is her tagging along with jax/xin/noc and ulting them as they dive into the enemy team.
It is just hard for me to see a visible gain in skill. That to me is frustrating, in FPS games I can tell when I get better at aiming. In SC2 I can tell when my build order is better. In LoL I have trouble telling when my team work is better, it could be the four other guys.
The reason you may be having trouble figuring out when you are playing better is that you are not really grasping what constitutes good play. Most of the things you believe you are good at are only a small portion of good play, and your attitude towards all of your teammates seems to show that you hold them in contempt and only want to play in a way that makes your stats better, not necessarily in a way that makes your team better. As a general rule, if you are consistently winning games whatever you are doing is probably pretty good play at your level, and if the opposite is true, you are probably playing pretty badly at your level.
EDIT: Yeah, not having flash is pretty awful seeing as it's basically the best thing in the game since autoattacks. Hell, on some champs (OK, mostly just Karthus), I'd give up autoattacks for more flash.
So I unlocked and played a game with Heimerdinger.
He's reasonably fun, I like being able to drop down turrets where I know the minions will clash and just rake in the points. The missiles are pretty boss too, I tend to level that up to keep enemy champs at bay. I'm assuming AP is the way to go? Mana regen is pretty helpful as well, considering how often I like to chuck grenades/missiles at people. His ult could use some reworking though...
with heimer, early-game, you just wanna level turrets and missiles, turrets taking first priority for lane dominance, missiles for harrass. take flash and clarity - flash for survivability, clarity so you don't have to build mana regen and instead can focus on AP/mana. this way you can put on the hurt with the missiles/grenades mid- and late-game. if mana becomes an issue later on, just get blue golem and you're set.
heimer's ult is great for setting up ambushes and also turning around fights especially when the enemy is chasing you. you're at an HP disadvantage and the enemy is going in for the kill. throw down the ult and a turret and launch your powerful missiles, then suddenly the enemy is at a clear disadvantage.

AP, a touch of cooldown, a Lich Bane, and a nice chunk of durability.
Heimer tends to need to dance alot in relatively close proximity while he waits for spells to come back up, as opposed to other mages who can blow their load, back off, then come back.
Are there many junglers now that can take blue without a leash? Thinking about looking into warric more and finding a better path and maybe even how to play him well mid game heh. I'm summoner lvl 12 finally. Maybe I should just go nunu and fail at counter jungling
And I would almost recommend just ignoring fizban's whines and pleas. I've seen him in a couple other threads and it's like beating your head against the wall. He never seems to take it to heart or seems to even listen to what tips are given to him. He just keeps complaint about the same stuff, talking about how it's impossible, OP, etc... In fact I thought I had him on ignore because of a thread like that.

Just went 10/4/12 in a ranked game where we won almost every team fight (mostly thanks to me), took every dragon (thanks to me), but lost because my teammates couldn't deal with a backdooring Yi.
They wouldn't push or at least take baron when he was bot.
Down to 1128~~

I'm on a pretty awful streak of bad luck when it comes to ranked teams at the moment. I think I'm something like 1/8 in my last nine games. And of the losses, while one was inarguably my fault and probably the single worst game I've ever played (also Vayne is still OP), it's mostly been my team letting me down. Alas.

You mean he's like this with every game he plays?
He was worse in SC2, his mirror matchup was imbalanced, unwinnable and bullshit.
on another note, I mean, the sivir skin looks cool and all...but how many of you are actually gonna play sivir....
Sivir isn't completely awful. She's probably the weakest ranged carry, but she at least has her niche. >_> She's kind of fun to play too, takes time to be perfect with spell shield. There are always normal games at least, where every champ is viable. I'd kill for the skin just like everyone else.
I've been grabbing an early Mallet... but I dunno, the output from his passive isn't very good when all you've got is Mallet-level bonus attack damage.
Also his farm
It is awful
all i can say is word.
I grab mallet early to survive. die once. come back to lane two levels behind.

So I played my first normal at 30... took taric, I figured Nidalee would take mid and I could pair up with one of the other bruisers we had and just destroy their lane.
Oh no. She wouldn't take mid. neither would Xin Zhao. Or Singed. I wasn't going to let Talon take mid.
So I went mid. Against teemo.
Didn't do as bad as I thought I would.
But the rest of my team couldn't handle all their stuns. QSS ftw!
