And that's about 3 hours on the hunt. I think tomorrow will be a good day...
You are truly a hero of our time. I don't care what anyone says, the Nasus skin is pretty nifty.
In other news, I've been playing Swain. He is a pretty interesting mage compared to most of the others I've tried, and he truly is a frightening opponent when he goes into crow form. Have a lot of fun with the Torment plus Ignite combo as well.
I agree with the "Mord is fine" view. His ult is disproportionately powerful if successful, but is also easy to counter (QSS FTW!), and as high damage moves go, is perhaps the funniest in premades. As a Trynd player these days I appreciate it when ghost me crits my healer for 800!
And even his ult isn't a utility spell, just damage in a special way. He's a high damage character without any initiate, gap closer, CC, escape, etc.
And that's about 3 hours on the hunt. I think tomorrow will be a good day...
Dude I don't have enough hearts for you. or enough mangina's to let you deflower for a Sivir skin. Once I lose my mangina, there's no getting it back. But I'll give it to you!

By the way: Talon, offficially the worst drawn champion portrait?
Check out his left hand on his renegade skin (ring finger goes forever), the leather X on his chest on his normal skin has some totally screwed up perspective (it is fucked), and what is Crimson Elite Talon supposed to even be? If it is not the worst, it is perhaps the least creative champion Riot has ever produced.
I think it's this, or Tryn. Tryn has a goatee, and that's like...Why? Was your goal to disappoint your wife with your face this morning? Like, more than you usually do? But at least your chest obeys the laws of space and light.
If you feel like Morde doesn't do anything before he gets a ghost, you're playing against shitty tank Mordes. Good Mordes build AP and use their strong early game to get a farm advantage, then hit like a truck.
The ghost is just crazy strong though, and any teamfight that's at all even will have at least one person die on both sides.
I've played against both and both are quite underwhelming. I guess his lane farm is nice but, his skills force himself into a position where he's exposed to ganks pretty much 90% of the time, and he's going to die to a good harass and a warwick gank (or just be denied exp out of fear of it).
Melee champions need something to make them worth it. Either they don't need creeps, can farm from a distance, have amazing synergy with specific champions, or are just overpowered. Mordekaiser is none of these things and he's totally fine as he is.
MacLaren and I figured out Spell Vamp Mord, I have a massive amount of experience with the champion. Maclaren and I were also one of the first good players to use Garen, who was extremely overpowered and needed to be nerfed. If you think Mordekaiser comes anywhere close to where Garen did...You're just doing something wrong. Is it that you don't rely on your jungle? Do you not deny him? Do you not punish him each time he pushes up and each time he exposes himself? He should not be an issue for too many champions to deal with, and at the very worst, he might farm well. That's not a big deal. I would expect that from a Carry. Except he's a carry that can't farm half the time.
I think I might hate you. But I don't know precisely why.

When the rest of a team looks at Morde, all they really see is his ult. Like, the rest of the package is pretty non-existent. Maybe he'll shield a friendly, but otherwise he's just a rather boring damage dealer (like Garen or Mundo!) who doesn't do much but go in and either feast or famine.

Here are two matches where Jax was picked by a team who won the game. There were also two matches where the Jax team lost the game, and several matches where Jax was banned. Jax is not a bad character. He has a very strong solo lane against many champions and moves on to become a very durable auto-attacker.
I highly reccomend not watching that, it is the lowest level play with the shittiest scum team mates you can get. Okay it wasn't that bad, but it was bad enough where I just wanted the game to end about 10 minutes in.
I feel like it's been said that jax is crap so many times that people started to believe it. I played one game as jax and had some ludicrous score and it was stupid how broken he was to the point that I don't even want to play him again(this was before the last patch). At least they took down his damage a bit so he can't crap on people for 3/4 of their hp at level 6 with a combo+R proc. oh and he snowballs completely out of control worse than any other champ in the game.

Running Soraka, Amumu, and Fiddles on a team is pretty funny.

Certainly, he can be a fantastic counter. But I feel like I've played enough of him to know who to pick to counter him well enough that I won't worry about him too much.
Admittedly, Kayle nerf made him way better and maybe he needs to be toned down slightly, but Riot tends to have no idea what they're doing and they either buff somebody way, way too much (annie) or nerf someone into the ground and not realize their effect on the meta (Kayle), and that's awful. Jax isn't exactly great, he just doesn't have many counters right now, but will eventually.

At one point in this, you try to attack an enemy player under your tower when they have 20 minions nearby. Never a good idea; you take way more damage than you could put out.
Incidentally, that duo jungle game I mentioned just now? We didn't have a true tank (Skarner built defense), and we still won it. Shaco/Trist/Skarner/Soraka/Jax vs Karthus/Ashe/Teemo/Jarvan/Shaco.
I think there's some fairly good examples of how to position yourself defensively in there as Tristana, and just what kind of aggression you can get away with against a lot of enemies.

Jax has been toned slightly down since that clip, they took some flat damage off two of his abilities so his early game harass isn't quite as dominant as before. I imagine he's still in quite a solid place.
Argh, Riot, refund my rune page so I can buy more rune pages, damnitt!
Also, in the hopes that I can get a Nasus skin from someone post PAX, I will now start Nasus practicing. Is Doran's shield really a good start with him? Just for better capability to CS farm?
His ult is of variable usefulness though. No utility. That's what morde does.
Why do you feel he is too strong? Do you try to 1v1 him. If his ult is up, that's almost as silly as fighting trynd with his ult up.
Teamfights? His ult can be stupidly good if put on a ranged ad. If you snag an ap carry, its much less so. Also there's an easy and cheap itemization counter to his ult.
Yes he is good, but with no escapes, initiation, or utility, he has to have strong damage or be useless
He is borderline op, no mana, can spam spells and push lane all he wants, can build tank and still put out crazy damage, and his ult is recockulous.

I go regrowth pendant + Health pot. First back philo stone and boots 1 then sheen next.
My brother got up over 1500 in solo queue playing mord exclusively. According to Riot that places him in the top 3% of ranked players. Now he is best the mord I have personally played with or against, but for his first 100 ranked games he played almost exclusively Twitch during which time he dropped down to sub-1100. Literally insta-locked him, never bought wards, no knowledge of the meta, nothing. Then he starts playing mord and boom, top 3%. I don't think mord is over powered, but to say he brings nothing to the table is just clearly wrong. Maybe in a fully coordinated high Elo match he is marginalized. But for most ranked players that simply is not the case. And yes I know anecdote is not the plural of data but this is just such a striking case of a pub stomp champ its hard for me to believe people actually think he is weak.
Yeah I'm stuck on 33% of another patch? I did all this patching yesterday which took about 2 hours because it kept crashing and hanging. Now it seems to be downloading the same patch again and is stuck at 33% again.
edit: okay it's done now.
Also hell yeah I now have 2 tier 3 runes at summoner level 13. +1.5% move speed and +2.2% crit damage is fairly significant boost for only two runes.

I started playing LoL back when Jax was insanely broken/OP so the fact that he's strong again sends a visceral shiver down my spine even though I know it's not like he was then. (That's reserved for Vayne.)

wat do
ok

Many, many kills have been given up to a Morde at <10% health.
jax has bad matchups but generally not against other melee at top and he scales better with farm. by end game his passive is giving you 1500 health

God I hope so. Laning against a halfway intelligent Soraka was like getting Ulted by Karthus every 10 seconds.
