You know what was the most important thing I learned from Jurassic Park though?
When designing your dinosaur zoo/amusement park do not put the raptors paddock next to your emergency compound and in between it & the emergency power station.
I mean seriously Hammond, what the fuck!?!

Just adding to the noise. Mostly stomps and growls but noise nonetheless.
Aw man zoids, I remember trying to wake up early on the weekdays to try and catch an episode.
And I was so confused when they switched stories from the guys in the battle tournament thing to the kid and his tiny baby zoid.
Yeah, the battle-a-day formula was for Zoids Zero, which was heavy on fighting but had little to no story. But the first zoids series ... shit I can't remember the name ... but that was with the kid and Zeke, the mini-zoid that powered up the larger ones. Civil War, mysterious pasts, all the good anime cliches. And then the second series was Zan and friends grown up, fighting rebellions in a joined empire/republic, over-arcing bad guy with giant death machine, more great cliche (but seriously, the better series). It actually came before Zoids Zero and the giant sauropod they fight on in the last battle was from the first series. I think there's been two more series since then ... one was a 'long time' after Zero, it was translated but didn't do well, the other never made it to our shores but was entirely seperate from the other series, kind of post apocolyptic. Also had these badasses:

I remember reading a theory somewhere that if the extinction hadn't happened then the velociraptors and similar dinos were the ones with a good balance of intelligence to energy needs (being smaller dinos) that they would basically become the dominant species, but I have no idea if there is any veracity or credibility to that idea

Sarah just mispronounced this. Twice. In two completely different ways. And didn't realise it until I just stared at her and pointed it out.
