I think our EU book thread went away a long time ago but this is such big news I felt the need to share it.

Apparently Matthew Stover, the man for the blisteringly awesome Star Wars books Traitor, Shatterpoint, and showing that there was a really really awesome story in Revenge of the Sith's script, is going to tackle Luke Skywalker and the battle that was so drenched in blood that it made him resign his General Commision. It was a throwaway line in a source book but is said to involve Rouge Squadron, Mandolorians, and some Imperial called Shadowspawn, and be just a huge fuckall battle.

Needless to say I am very very excited.

I just hope this doesn't delay the release of Caine Black Knife even futher.

    Another Star Wars movie about a big battle... yeah, that's really exciting.

    Edit: Book makes sense. Not the excitement but the existence that is.

    It's not the plot of the book that warrants the excitement, but the author. Stover could right a book about Han making a sandwich and it would probably be awesome.

    There's nothing wrong with Han and cheese sandwiches. Unless the meat's a little old, then it's kind of chewie.
