Well, i've seen acts advertising themselves as such, hwoeer i would advise against using it in even modestly polite company. But then the shows i've seen where they are advertising "Ladyboys" are generally, not high brow. i mean porn still uses "tranny" a lot. i don't know about you, but i hate being called "Tranny". and i most def don't want anything to do with granny.

like small/slim/much more feminine than masculine, not necessarily base or low class
even high class, as it conveys a little style and a little innocence
it's often coupled with higher quality modifiers, too
like "perfect" and "beautiful"
