Chrome history

Is there any way to keep Chrome from hanging on to history and cache items older than a certain amount of time? That used to be standard in browsers, so I'm sure there's a way.

There's the clearing option here chrome://settings/advanced

but I'm guessing you're looking for something more automated...

That's present to past, not past to present. I want to be able to delete everything x days and older. Like every other browser could since Mosaic. :?
