You guys should watch the YouTube videos. There's videos of the hornets grabbing the bees with their front limbs then biting their heads off like it nothing.

I believe there's also videos of the bee ball that cooks the hornet.

Edit: Also, here's the thing. Japanese Honey Bees know how to protect themselves from the Hornet. European Honey Bees, who were introduced to Japan to help boost bee populations, have no fucking clue to do what about them. So now Japanese beekeepers are crossbreeding the two honey bee species in hopes that they will retain the Bee Oven knowledge.

    how could this possibly backfire

Some deaths are funny, you just gotta accept it. Like if you drowned in a pool on a cruise ship.

2009: Sergey Tuganov, a 28-year-old Russian, bet two women that he could continuously have sex with them both for twelve hours. Several minutes after winning the $4,300 bet, he suffered a heart attack and died, apparently due to having ingested an entire bottle of Viagra just after accepting the bet.

2003: Brian Douglas Wells, an American pizza delivery man in Erie, Pennsylvania, was killed when a time bomb fastened around his neck exploded. At the time of his death he had been apprehended by the police for robbing a bank. Wells told police that three people had locked the bomb around his neck and would not release it had he refused to commit the robbery.[165]

o my god this is terrifying to me

1998: Tom and Eileen Lonergan were presumed dead after being stranded after scuba diving with a group of divers off Australia's Great Barrier Reef. The group's boat accidentally abandoned them after an incorrect head count taken by the dive boat crew. Their bodies were never recovered.[152]

    what

It turned out Wells was in the on the plot. They were going to fasten a fake bomb on his neck. Then, one of the people involved decided they didn't really like Wells sooooo they put a real bomb on him.

And oh, the video of the bomb going off is on the internet. It's not really something I would advise seeking out.
He's sitting on the ground with uniformed officers keeping a safe distance. They're waiting for the bomb squad to show up. He's calling out for help, just sitting there with his hands cuffed. Stuff like "Is anybody going to help me?! I'm going to die!" then a boom, some smoke and a slumped over body.

Also, this is my favorite on the list.
1993: Garry Hoy, a 38-year-old lawyer in Toronto, Canada, fell to his death on July 9, 1993, after he threw himself against a window on the 24th floor of the Toronto-Dominion Centre in an attempt to prove to a group of visitors that the glass was "unbreakable." The glass did not break, but popped out of the window frame.

    The guy Titanic-ed himself.

Funny story, when the director was working on The Three Amigos Chevy Chase leaned over the edge of a cliff they were filming at and made a crack about the director and film safety while the director was listening in at the other end of a radio.
