So yeah this is a hackneyed premise of a thread, but I'm just interested enough in my own list of my 10 favorite games that I thought I'd share it with you guys and get feedback on yours. So here goes:
1. Super Mario Bros. 3 - Well, duh.
2. Knights Of The Old Republic - I didn't play Baldur's Gate so this pretty much introduced me to BioWare. And uh, Star Wars for that matter. So, yeah.
3. Mass Effect - More sci-fi RPG stuff, and this was all new and reading the codex makes me giddy.
4. Final Fight - yes I am a neanderthal I like walking down streets and punching punks and eating hamburgers out of trash cans
5. Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal - still the best pokemon games
6. Final Fantasy 9 - still the best FF game
7. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - still the best GTA game. Grove Street! And that soundtrack.
8. Def Jam: Fight For NY - This is really the culmination of every one of those AKI N64 wrestling games. So much fun. And Henry Rollins runs the gym!
9. Portal - The only first person anything that doesn't give me a headache. Plus it is hells of clever and funny.
10. Spider-Man 2 - This one's not fair, because I don't really like the game so much as swinging around the city. Still, it's Spider-Man, and it's awesome.

Not even kidding, it's in my top ten. But then my top ten also contains 4 Resident Evils...
I didn't know how else to engage this discussion!
It's weird, at least to me, to try and quantify enjoyment in a list form. For example, number 8 changed three times!

Ok, well, I can't make a list because I have poor memory.
I know Final Fantasy VI is definitely on there.
They both have such excellent characters and combat
But TWEWY has better plot
But Vesperia has Troy Baker
2. Bioware Games in general - otherwise they'd take up 80% of this list. I'm looking particularly at Mass Effect 1 & 2 and KotOR, but I liked Jade Empire for what it was, too.
3. Broken Sword 1 - I love 2 and 3, too, but 1 will hold a special place in my heart for being the first game to really have me interested in...well, games. Two Bs, two Ts.
4. Bully - aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah my I love Bully so much. Exactly what I want in a Rockstar game, and the only one I have completed. Also, amazing soundtrack. I've actually played this to completion twice now.
5. Dragon Quest 5 - they're such fun little games! The only series in which I don't really mind grinding. 5, because I like its story best.
6. Ace Attorney, all of them - I really couldn't choose. Of course Phoenix's trilogy is amazing and I love the conclusion so much, but I also have a tremendous soft spot for Apollo Justice.
7. Sims 2 - How many hours did I sink into this? I also like 3 and Mediaeval but not as much as I like 2.
8. Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines - that writing! Sublime. And the best atmosphere of any game I have played.
9. KotOR 2 - even with a mangled ending it still has an amazing story, although you do have to be careful to play the right character (sentinel) and gain influence with all of your companions to uncover it.
10. Oh, gosh, I don't know. Perhaps a strategy game?
