Man Halflings are such BS in little league. A million fucking re-rolls and 3(?) treeman to kill all your little guys.

Just applied with my Dark Elves the "Fullmetal Homunculi". Coach name is Klyka.
I would also like to get a good friend of mine in. He's not a PAer but I vouch for him if that's ok?
He's applying as a chaos team by the name of "RAAAAAAAAARGH!" and his coach name is Kikoskia!

If you're playing a little team and you're in range of a tree its your own damn fault :P The things are well-neigh immobile even when they DON'T take root.
I just got this and I have a question. How do I add players to the field on a kickoff? When I have injuries/KO's and it says I don't have enough players on the field, I can't add more. I can only swap between players already on the field and my bench. I see their names on the right side of the screen, but when I click on the name then on the field nothing happens.
I had this issue last night, then I remembered the golden rule of the computer version of blood bowl:
LMB - Select something
RMB - initiate action.
So to bring someone onto the field if you are <11 players on the field, left click on the person in the subs window, right click anywhere on the field (not in the outer lanes if they already have 2!) and to bring someone onto the field if you are 11 players on the field, left click on the person in subs window, right click on a player on the field to switch them around.
After playing some practice games I am significantly worse at bloodbowl than i remember being nothing like having wood elves beat the shit out of your dwarf team, and by nothing like i mean i cried
Doesn't really matter to me either way 7 or 10 but I can't fathom someone not being able to fit a 40 minute game in a week unless they are perhaps a brain surgeon who dabbles in politics while single handedly raising 5 children because his wife was hit by a bus.
Forty minutes for a game? I've spent 40 mins trying to establish a connection to my opponent!
For beginners I'd be thinking you need to set aside a couple of hours per game, that gives 3 minute turns on average plus the 20 minutes of waffley bullshit that goes around getting a game set up and other time not spent on turns directly (kick-off, opposition choosing results etc)
I'm down for this, but I own the previous version of BB and not the Legendary version. I will get the Legendary version but I won't be able to actually sign up in game until the evening of the 14th. Would a last minute sign up like that be ok?
Shouldn't be a problem, I don't think.. What's your time zone?
Mint, thanks for that. I'm on MST so I will be signed up before Friday night if you are US based
If you guys are mostly playing for fun, there isn't much more entertaining than an entire league full of stunty teams. By that I mean Halflings, Goblins, Ogres and Lizardmen without any Saurii. The little guys are just so much fun, and with halflings, goblins and snotlings flying all over the place you can be sure SOMEBODY is going to get hurt.
-edit- By the way, it sounds like you have setup an open league, which doesn't have a set schedule and people can play whoever they want, whenever they want. That's fine, just be aware of how you have the league set. If you created the other type of league (private I think), then the game will setup a schedule for you, either single round robin or double round robin if you chose that. The interface for leagues is one of the worst things about the game, so be sure you get it set the way you want.

That would explain why I'm having issues trying to find out how to start the thing. Thank you. Not sure why it was set for Open League, I'll look into it.. I may have to recreate and reinvite.
Ok, now that I have gone through all the other options, Cup, Playoffs, etc.. and noticed only Open League offers the Application/New Teams only, thing... do we want to go forward with the Open League, with me generating a Schedule? Or do we wish to create a New League of the Cup type? If so, does anyone know what is what between all the options? Fuck, why can't there be decent documentation for the League creation process.
What I'm thinking, is scrap the Open League and create
Tournament Type
Grand Slam
Number of Teams
26 Team
Championship
1 division
no double round-robin
Cup
1 pool
no double round-robin
Play-off level
2 teams
Match Frequency
Weekly
Max Team Value 1000 (This way we keep it to New teams?)
Does this sound good to people? Or like I said, I can generate a play schedule using our Open League information and just not have an automated Schedule. But we need to decide quickly or else this is just going to drag on.
Also: Added a shit ton of people but forgot to compile their names
The league layout looks ok from my limited knowledge of it - but does 2 team playoff mean that there will basically just be a final between 1st and 2nd rank?
Might want to broaden that a bit.
Doesn't maximum team value of 1000 mean your players don't get better between matches?
That is the maximum value for a team to apply to the league, not a maximum value once in the league. You can also set a minimum value if I remember correctly. If you're going with a scheduled private league, make sure that more than one person can validate completed matches and reset matches where the game crashed or something.
Also yes, the league creation is setup quite poorly in the interface, and the meaning of several options is very unclear. If you can find coaches by the name of Krampus, Dode or Verbal_HM online they could probably clear up any problems, or you could attempt to post at the official forums and see if they can help you that way.
iirc some teams can actually start/be freshly made with a tv above 1000 though, 1050-1100 might be a better value
I don't think so - you get a million gps to buy your team, every 1000 gps of purchased stuff translates directly to 1 TV so there isn't any way to go above 1000 TV to start.
Sounds good, Banzai. The first attempt can be looked upon as a dry run anyway, while we work out how it all works.
+1 give me 2 more people that agree and I'll call it a majority vote and proceed!
I'm all for it.
Looks like the cup involves 1 group stage, so it's basically the same as the league, but with the top 2 playing a final match? That's as best as I can tell from the Create A Competition mode.

Does anyone know how to set up a straight forward 1 vs 1 online ? A friend has BB too, and I'd like to set up a game with him, but can't see an option for online 2 player games...

You need to join an open league, off the top of my head i don't remember what the open one is called but the majority of the leagues either only allow matchmaking or a certain amount of games vs the same people so people don't feed each others teams to make them OP
Also, Looking for 1 US based person and possibly 1 GMT+ person to help out as Commissioners. I think I should be able to cover it, but having back ups wouldn't hurt if I get forgetful.
Was also thinking, what is the best way of communicating in this game? Since it's only Two people I was thinking maybe Skype? Or is in game chat working enough, or Steam voice? Figure we might wanna try to work out some things ahead of time.
I've reapplied - Mvickers, The Amazing Amazonians.
I've just had a few single player games, to give the Amazons a try-out, and quite like them. I'm kicking myself for not calling my team The Crimson Tide, though...
I'm on Skype, and am happy to use that, either audio or video.

Could I please be added to the league ?
I'm terrible, and am looking to lose to a friendly face rather that the AI's cold unfeeling logic.
I've made a team of Amazons called The Amazing Amazons.
I'm in the UK, but am happy to co-ordinate times with people in other countries.
Steam name is mvickers
Thanks.

team- The Red Hots (necro)
With this many people, what about splitting the teams into two leagues, then having the two champs face each other?

Please sign up with the NEW League as quickly as possible.
I did not have to create a new team and was able to use the same team I had created to apply for the first League.
Again, if anyone has any problems, let me know.
