Rich people get huge tacky SUVs because they're noveau riche assholes
SUVs guzzle gas like hell
gas prices and thus oil prices rise
when oil prices rise the profitability for new north sea projects skyrockets, so that means more engineering jobs, off-shore jobs, supply industry jobs, and with all that a rise in spending which in turn fans the flames of the rest of the economy.
I generally agree with you, but I want to point out that habitual opioid use can occur even in the absence of a euphoric experience.
That said, what you said above is spot-on: take the meds as they're prescribed, discontinue the meds when your doctor says so. Just following those instructions reduces the risk of habituation tremendously.
As someone who has a family history of prescription drug abuse I know it can happen outside the experience. But once again it is about taking the drugs as prescribed and follow your doctors directions you usually reduce the chance of an addiction forming.
There is a lot that goes into addiction more than just usage though. From culture, mental issues, genetics and other drug interactions and such.
so this doctor pretty much just isnt going to ever tell me anything, is he
he is probably counting on the old *if he doesnt know whats wrong with him then maybe he will think nothing is wrong with him* placebo
Be forceful, when you are in a hospital unless you have someone to do it for you, you must be your own advocate and push for information, answers and such.
also comment on one of the "joke about and mock news of the week" shows tonight about the meeting beetween the prime minister and obama (first meeting in six years)
that they can't have that much in common to talk about, the US is in big economic trouble
and we just got the biggest oil find since the eigthies
about 500-1200 million barrels, the biggest this year worldwide
Say a scientist makes discoveries that allow the production of an entirely new piece of marketable technology.
They were just responsible for creating an entire industry.
You maintain an odd conception of causality.
If we start reducing "job creation" to that which gave rise to a possibility, then the ultimate job producer is reality, and everything else is an arbitrary line away from that.
Because did the person who invented electronic computing create all these jobs based in electronic computing, or did the guy who discovered the electron create all these jobs?
And i'm pretty sure, by your logic, the chinese created all the jobs within the gun industry, since they invented gun powder.

I am being less than serious.
Young man, where do you think you are? This is the internet!
I am reading IR theory. So we are tied with excitement I think.
Mazzyx, your topic is literally about EXCITEMENT. How can it not be exciting.
Soccer on Curacao, an island with about 100k residents where it's always between 25 and 28 degrees C (Pretty hot for soccer) whose main sport is baseball, seems like a mostly futile exercise. (I do recall seeing a few soccer goals when I visited, but I'm pretty sure we didn't pass a decent full sized pitch).

Rich people are not job producers.
Scientists are job producers.
but there are more scientists without jobs than rich people without jobs
...
I will amend my statement.
Rich people produce jobs for themselves.
Scientists produce jobs for everyone else.
Job production is an odd notion.
should people be protesting outside the LHC instead?
And killed my father.
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
no, because:

EDIT: So they make jobs. Just not for you.

The problem is that we are not giving the scientists enough money.
See, what we need to do is make scientists and rich people into the same exact people.
Be forceful, when you are in a hospital unless you have someone to do it for you, you must be your own advocate and push for information, answers and such.
Scientists are the greatest job killers of all time.
Hello automation!

always ask everyone for everything, they won't tell you nuthin*
*well they'll tell you something but it's not that easy for them to know how well-informed a patient is, they've got a lot. Ask.

Chu, I know what your problem is.
You don't have my penis in your butt.
This is actually the cause of most people's problems.
I'm writing a hundred words each on dozens of surnames. I get $2 per name.
maybe you could help me with that
probly gonna feel extra good this time

Young man, where do you think you are? This is the internet!
:winky:
what i guess im saying here, jeep, is ill see you soon
Pfft, if science destroys a job then it was a shitty useless job anyway.
Actually, on a more serious note, do we have any statistics to show that automation ever increased unemployment on a national scale?
if he couldn't handle it, he shouldn't have become a psychiatrist.
edit: I was thinking therapist
If he can't separate his personal from his professional he probably isn't doing it right. So don't worry about it.

I mean, not that much is actually automated
labour-intensive work just goes to less developed countries where the cost of labour isn't as high yet, rarely gets automated, really
EDIT: Not saying that more effective production techniques doesn't make things less labour intensive though
