I will say this: After seeing movies like The Room I have a hard time saying movies like V For Vendetta are awful, because at least Hugo Weaving was pretty good in it (from what I remember)

but it's not a great film

And I think I was more entertained by The Room

yeah if you take all the kung-fu out of the kung-fu movie it really falls to pieces

There we go, a bonfire toffee recipe if you can't find some in a shop.

Seriously, that was a silly thing to say. If you take Batman out of The Dark Knight, you don't have much of a movie either.

I don't care if it bankrupts me (actually I do, but making a point here), I am taking my kids to the UK at Christmas times.

Everything is just so awkward in it

I made student films in high school that were better done than that scene

Yeah my sister and I have a big Christmas bash every year where we invite our friends over and cook a ton of stuff. Were already planning because we have to save money up for it. I was going to try and get a bunch of crackers as stocking stuffers (along with candy and the most american christmas tradition, scratch off lotto tickets)

Are Christmas Crackers a stereotypically British thing? My family has always had them, and I grew up in Indiana.

Posh crackers are utter filth. I don't ever want something useful to fall out of a christmas cracker. A screwdriver? Fuck you.

To go back to Tarantino, I really love Inglorious Basterds.

It's probably my favorite movie I've seen.

The tiny screwdrivers in crackers are great! They are invariably to small to use for anything so sit somewhere impotently for most of the year, then on December 12th you find something that requires a really tiny screwdriver but by that point the one you got last year has been lost for months and you just have to wait for Christmas to come round again. It's almost a tradition.

I also saw The Room this weekend too and the only redeeming quality of the entire 2 hours I wasted was the flower scene and the football scene where the dude falls into a trash can.
