Game is still downloading. I almost did the pre-load yesterday but figured I could let it run tonight so it would be ready to go tomorrow. Then I saw the email stating the release was bumped. Now I'm getting ~300kps. Assuming it finishes in the next couple of hours I'll be playing tonight for sure! Applied for the 102nd and fan'd both platoons. Origin name is same as here!
Perfect time to update your posts with your Battlelog username so we can accept you in the 101st and 102nd. (101st currently full). Theres quite a few people who've applied for the 102nd, and if i've missed your post stating your battlelog name I apologize but i've been in a bit of a rush shooting mans. Post here with your battlelog name and i'll approve your characters immediately.
Today has been really fun, but I gotta say that Davamand needs a way to avoid the tunnel completely that isn't a helicopter. Either that, or the map needs the tanks removed or something. The tunnel is just a ridiculous choke.
Woo Amazon finally shipped my physical copy! But its in Indiana. And Im in California. Im going to be very sad if its not here tomorrow but at the same time it looks like you guys are bug testing for me so thats ni-god damn it I want to play this fucking game now
Be advised: A gt560ti runs this game on ultra super smooth.
(with an i5-2500k and 16gigs of ram)
at 1080p and constant 60fps?
I have a pair of 560 ti SLI and while really nice on ultra isn't consistently at 60 fps at 1920x1080
I also have a 2500k but with 8 gb but that shouldn't matter much.
Yeah, I was gonna say that even on High my single 560Ti wasn't maintaining 60fps at 1080p. I can knock a couple settings down, though, and keep it there pretty smoothly.
Surprised that dual 560s can't handle it on ultra, though. I'd think that'd be pretty beastly.
It can handle it. And run it well enough(ranging from 50-60fps) but I would rather have consistent 60fps on high while playing multiplayer.
Nevermind that was before I installed the new release drivers.
I was just doing some testing in single-player. As I'm moving forward, there are small but numerous and noticeable skips. It's not smooth at all, but it's not my framerate, either. I tried auto (which defaults to high), medium, and low settings and it still exists. It's very distracting. Multiplayer, on the other hand, was a much smoother experience.
I also experience that in Rage, too.
I'm running an i7-920 @ 3.66GHz, 6GB DDR3, and an ATI HD 5870. I'm guessing it's an ATI/AMD driver issue. Is anyone else experiencing the skipping and is also running ATI/AMD hardware? Maybe it's an issue with Catalyst AI.
Edit: Vertical Sync causes the skips to become more frequent and severe. Turning it off helps, but it's still there.

I'm on as vogonyig, sorry I didn't make a post earlier about the 101st invite. I sent it, then spent the rest of my day on a ladder cutting down tree limbs. Not sure if I should stay up till 2am to play, wake up early, or both.
I thought microstutter only occurs when SLIing/Crossfiring and was the result of the two cards not being completely in sync with each other?
I'm just on a single 5870. I'm wondering if it may have to do with Catalyst AI. That often causes problems for people. I may try lowering it from Quality to Performance, and then if that doesn't work I'll try to disable it completely. My friend had to disable it for Rage to resolve some of his issues.

Bah can't pull a sick day tomorrow and need to sleep to go to work in the morning. I'd like to hope the rubber banding and general hiccups will be better tomorrow but who am I kidding the floodgates will really be open and it'll probably be a shit show haha.
Disabling Surface Format Optimization under Catalyst AI in AMD Control Center helped with my micro-stutters, as well as disabling vertical sync. I was also advised to set the Catalyst AI setting all the way to High Quality instead of Performance, so I'll give that a try, too.
With all the recent problems games have had with AMD drivers, I think I'm buying an Nvidia card next.

Quite an expensive setup, but it looks freakin awesome. I wonder who paid for it...
