so I shot a draugr into a gate that recedes into the ceiling, and when I opened the gate the draugr hung from his arm

    I had a hearty chuckle

Yeah, I quite enjoy it when bodies get stuck on gates.

i just committed premeditated murder in skyrim

completed the quest for mjoll to retrieve her sword

    made her my nordwife

she moved into my fancy new house in riften

i came in one night after adventuring to see her asleep, and aerin standing

    watching her intently

'you need to leave' he says, staring blankly at me

    so i slit his throat

    raiding an overrun fort
bandit leader comes at me like a foolhardy champ
I decapitate him in one stroke of my axe
his head falls into a bear trap
the clamping jaws catapult the head over the walls, never to be seen again

I am completely sure that killing Aerin isn't murder at all.

at worst, it's a mercy killing.

    also repostin' dis

"you'll make a fine rug, cat!" The bandit shouts, thrusting his blade, keeping me at bay.

I hiss and bat his sword aside, slipping my own past his guard and directly into his chest.

Grabbing him by the collar, I pull him in close and watch the light fade from his eyes.

    "That. Was. Racist."

and then I unequipped my weapons and used my claws to kill a bunch of Skeever because sometimes you can't fight instinct.

    yes

Also, I love how the ice form shout will usually accelerate enemies in the direction they're already moving. So often they'll just go zooming past and behind you. Had that happen with a bear and invented a new yoga position: backwards flying frozen bear.

i found the best recipes for powerlevelling alchemy (which is a total cunt!!) from hours of experimenting

it looks like the higher the value your crafted potion is, the more it contributes to a skillup

    bear claw + hanging moss

    dwarven oil + salt pile

vampire dust + luna moth wing

yeah, they seem to have made a switch from number to value when it comes to skill ups
like raw damage dealt determines weapon/destruction skillups, amount of health lost/blocked determines armor / block, etc.

    except for smithing and enchanting

    whooooops

I still don't know how sneak levels

like, if you are sneaking and no one sees you, it goes up if they might detect you but don't?

Pretty sure it is like this.

Whenever you are moving near someone hostile and they don't detect you.

I've gotten sneak levels by getting close to people and having them not see me, but mostly from

sneak attacks, both ranged and melee

that levels your shit up real quick

You get bits of sneak skill whenever the eye is partially open and a big chunk when you sneak attack.

    Its not even that.

I've had sneak level when I was in the middle of nowhere. There might have been animals nearby that maybe "didn't see me", but I'm pretty sure it just goes up as you are sneaking.

if there is someone who would either kill you or say HEY GET OUT nearby and you are close to them and sneaking you get slow skillups

if you do a successful sneak attack, you get a fast skillup

Oh, and if you want to powerlevel sneak, you can fire arrows at a wall next to a bandit and just wait in sneak mode.

This is the first game in the Elder Scrolls series where I've been killed by a mudcrab

melee plus no armor is a wee bit hard to pull off safely at early levels

buy a ring that will boost your pickpocketing

it's a huge help at lower levels, and will get your skill up

also, anything over 160 gold in value is pretty much guaranteed to level your skill up if you're successful for the first 60 or so ranks

keep in mind that no matter how high your skill is, there's always a 10% chance of failure

You could get some +pickpocket items, and then just take gold and steel arrows from guards. It should be above 80% or so for those with some gear.

    Then tedious.

pickpocketing is a super easy skill to level

especially if you're keen on reloading, or have the proper bribery options

I did not pickpocket my trainer.

I'll wear a pickpocketing ring and go for slightly lower value items. Also, save a lot.

    Thanks guys!
