    If you participated in The Old Republic Game Testing Program, but did not participate in the November 25th-28th or December 2nd-4th Beta Weekends, first uninstall the Game Testing Client before moving on to the next step. If you did participate in either of these Beta Weekends, there is no need to uninstall your Game Client

    Yeah geebs I did the same thing

    powered a jedi knight to about 25, got my speeder just as the stress test was going down

    the story was pretty great, would have had no problems playing republic in release, which I'm sure I will. There are enough character slots on a single server to make one of everything, and PvP servers aren't like WoW, you can make characters from both factions on the same server

    There's a big ol' warning somewhere that you have to completely uninstall the beta before you can install the real thing

    If you downloaded the client for the stress test, you should only need to patch. If you played in the closed beta way before that, you'll need to redownload.

    Basically, look at your SWTOR directory. If it's 19GB-ish, you're good to go. If it's much higher, like 25+, you need to uninstall and redownload

    I went ahead and pre-ordered from Origin since they have the digital download thingie available, although, once you plugin your code, Bioware's site lets you run it. So I guess you don't need Origin?
