You aren't even talking about the same situation any more Dhal.
You're complaining that the answer to the original problem does not also solve a similar-but-different complaint.
Original problem - gas steals in PvZ really fuck up a Protoss. Protoss has no tools to prevent that.
Lots of people were talking about how the defenders-can-often-block-gas-steals change has effected the game.
So when you started in on how "it" is "unpreventable" without any kind of clarification, I gave you the benefit of the doubt that you were referring to anything relevant to protoss that had been mentioned before.
It makes perhaps the least sense that you were actually complaining out of the blue that it's too hard to throw down your own assimilator to block steals.
That's the thing though. Defenders can't block gas steals. This "revolution" of footprint blocking does not work on the defense. Terran isn't really hurt by a gas steal to begin with, and Zergs never need more than one gas on one base. The only race that is ever significantly hurt by a gas steal is Protoss. Its stupid.
I'm sure there's an answer to it, but it is incredibly frustrating to know that there is literally nothing you can do to prevent this from happening apart from totally fucking your build by throwing an assimilator down when you don't need it yet.

On further reflection it is probably not that big a deal to throw down the second assimilator before the cybercore, to prevent it getting stolen. Its a small price to pay for safety of your gas, but still, its a price you have to pay and it doesn't cost the Zerg anything to make you pay it - he just has to put a drone in your base to scout and make it look like he might consider gas stealing.
Psh. And zerg are the only ones who are hurt by cannon rushes, bunker rushes, and all kinds of retarded pylon/etc blocks. I think it's perfectly okay for something to be slightly better vs protoss.

Yeah, again, the confusion came up because you were talking about a completely different situation (generic gas steals), not whatsoever about the build footprint gameplay change.
Any ways, the answer is still to pay attention and counter-micro the drone.
Even aside from the obvious tried-and-true answer of "build an assimilator just before they can possibly steal", now they need to scout the geyser before they can even use the "walk away and build" trick to circumvent the footprint.
This will be an obvious telegraph, and the footprint change helps quite a bit to slow things down and allow you to make the right decision in time.
They have 5 protoss on that couch. I think they need a sixth.

But, but... are you not terran ?
haha no I am toss and always toss! If you don't get the reference, it was from RitB, where they did a swap mode and I kept switching to the terran player's base. I had no idea they were going to do this though, hence "why am I terran?"

I probably should have put a :P after that sentence... I saw RitB :P
Shame the finals did not have the same level of excitement as some of the previous games, Sound got erm soundly demolished. His play was just a faint whisper compared.... ok I will stop.
But some of the previous games were so amazing, especially that turtle with 393843948 broodlords. .

Didn't he like go in and take MC's replays off his computer after they finished.
What's wrong with that?
He was just beat in a pretty tense series and probably wanted to see what went wrong.
I think he means the replays of the finals.
I don't know what went down, but I assume if those are the replays he got then he got permission. I see no reason why MC would refuse because it's not like it's going to affect him if JYP's PvT improves. And JYP is terrible at PvT, so it's really an act of charity.

It had the more exciting games for sure. I think JYP would still have beaten sound, but I don't think it would have been that convincing.

Well his first games are in like, 36 hours, so if he can overcome the tiredness in this first round then I think he's got a shot.
He has to go through either leenock or forGG in the second round though, which will be tough.
you can call him bad but let's not pretend you hate cheesy players.
you just hate every single terran and get really fucking pissed whether they win or lose, however they play
explain what you mean please
GSL in 10 hours awwwwww yeaaahhh!
Yup, if it's ForGG he's probably totally screwed. The TvP builds I've seen on ForGG's stream are ridic.

I wasn't watching, that's why I asked
couldn't he have gotten the replays from the computer he was on? he is entitles to those replays.
and what did standard eg mean? besides that iirc you don't like them
1-base BC rush?

e: I'm pretty sure he was cribbing all of MC's HSC replays from that computer.

That might be the least Korean thing I've heard in months!
By that logic, there should be no resource gathering at all.
QEDMF xbl: PantsB G+
CoH/DoW, pretty much.
Were it an actual battle, Protoss are about the only race that makes sense.
The others would not have production facilities on a world, and should have 50 times more units(maybe 100 in zergs case.)
