getting back into exercising is hard guys
Started doing muscley things every other night though.
Pushups and a few other things that I don't know the names for...The wall sit?
This other one where I lay down and lift my legs
And that one where it's like a pushup, but you're resting weight on your elbows/forearms
Pretty sore after today (though I'm sure some of it is residual from the previous days). Sandwiched a 1.5 mile run in the middle of 4 miles of walking, plus my usual crunches and pushups routine. My quaaaaads.
Oh man, I would love to throw swimming into the mix in the near future. I need a good sport bikini, like this one, cos all I have are stupid froofy ones that tie on and would be the worst for doing laps in (or best, depending on who you're asking I guess...).
This is just me but when I swam competitively we didn't only use one-piece swimsuits, but we also used TWO of them... our training suits underneath and a raggedy old recreational one on top. The reason for this was that the two suits created a lot of drag between them so you are working harder for the same time and distance.
Just a thought. Two piecers tend to be really bad for workouts (i.e., things like your bottoms possibly coming loose or slipping when doing sprints/time trials/tumble-turns/backstroke/etc), so you spend more time worrying about your bottoms more than you do the swimming part of it.

I will never, ever be particularly good or fast at swimming. It'd just be a nice thing to throw into my workout every now and again, and a sporty two piece would be nice for those occasions, as I don't generally like one piece swimmies.
I'll probably beach it up once I get back to Savannah. 15 minute drive to Tybee Island and all that.
But yeah, I have preferred bikinis since I was 13 or 14. Granted, if I don't feel comfortable in one (like right now), I just won't go swimming at all, and since that isn't a very important part of my life it doesn't bother me much. I don't think it will take me very long to get back to my comfort zone, though.

it took me 24 years to get into my first 2-piece suit
and you're telling me you don't like one-piece swimsuits
my brain... it hurts
I know it helps.
EDIT: Hullis, oh my god, no. Wrong. Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong.
e dammit aphostile
HAH
you haven't seen me in a two-piece yet, obviously
I have a one-piece that is mesh in the middle and that is the only suit I feel good in
when I wear two-pieces I spend most of my time in the water or in a cover-up
it is a one-piece suit known as a monokini
Yelling at everyone to look away.
yes
look, i am a dude who Likes Curves, on gals of any size
and with curvier girls often one piece suits can be much more flattering than a bikini
MY BRAIN
OH GOD IT'S COMING OUT OF MY EARS SOMEONE HELP
GO AWAY DON'T LOOK AT ME I JUST WANT TO HANG OUT ON THE BEACH WITHOUT ALL YOU PEOPLE HERE WITH YOUR EYES
Grand Isle, chillin' in the gulf of mexico
the beaches are like 20 minutes away and are prettier than many world-class resort beaches that are out there
(and I say this having BEEN to some of those resort beaches, mind you)
I prefer the beaches in Oregon though, long flat coast, no crowds, cold so it weeds out lots of kids. So nice. Perfect for me.
