The rest of the AFC needs to get it's shit together.

It's mostly been New England and Pittsburgh over the last decade.

all i'm saying is that after the HILARIOUS red sox collapse, i feel they have probably got enough egg on their face and i won't be too peeved if they win. i'm still rooting for the gints though

With an injured Gronk I say this is the Giants game to lose. They're better at enough positions where I feel there's no excuse to getting straight up Brady'd to death.

I think the Giants pass rushh will probably be the difference maker here, both teams can put up points at will.

Then again the last go round was, what, 17-13? Who fucking knows.

Clearly this means Ocho will be the star of the game

  • mcpmcp Registered User regular
it would be hilarious if Ocho had like 150 yards.

if the giants can shut down rodgers they can shut down brady, and the patriots don't have anywhere near san frans defense

With all due respect to the NY defensive line, the GB offensive line is what shuts down Rodgers.

Oh, SenorAmor, you are consistently awful.

Anyway, Herm Edwards just now on SportsNation (which I am watching because I am so bored and Beadle is hot) as Tyler Thigpen is shown getting hit in the helmet with a football "I had him down in Kansas City! That's why I'm here now!"

I'm pretty sure the fact that you're an awful coach has more to do with why you're on ESPN than Tyler Thigpen did.

  • LTMLTM Bikes and BeardsRegistered User regular
I'm pretty sure the "How many times will Peyton be shown" bet is a lock for the over.

  • mcpmcp Registered User regular
    Herm Edwards is so terrible.

    So terrible.

That playoff game against the colts was fantastic.

"Hmm... welp. It hasn't work yet, but let's run LJ up the middle for the 40th time."

@Goose, why do you say that? I'm a GB fan, if you were unaware.

The GB o-line is terrible. I have no idea how two of them made it to the Pro Bowl.

I don't care that it's a rematch. I just really don't like the Giants. Or any New York sports team, really.

It really is one of the best cartoons on tv today; perhaps of all time.

I've been staying calm and patient. Really limiting how much pregame hype I watch. I've seen a handful of player interviews and a little bit of analysis and that's it.

I don't know if I'd say they're terrible. Aggressively mediocre, maybe, but they were waaaaaaay worse a couple years back.

To be honest I think you can lay that loss at the feet of the stone handed recievers

Bill Muir is retiring. He was KC's OC this year. There was speculation that he'd stay on board as the online coach.

I haven't really heard shit about our next OC. Brian Daboll's name was mentioned, and I'll be really god damn angry if they hire him.

I kinda think they want to talk to someone on the Pats or the Giants since the search has been taking so long.

edit: Either that or nobody wants to get hamstrung with Matt Cassel.

I hate that as the weeks have progressed more and more people are jumping on the Giants' bandwagon. I don't want the Pats feeling like underdogs

This says Tom Brady is more charming off the field

I've only seen one interview with him but he seemed super fake. Annoyingly so

i've been on pretty much a complete sports media blackout since the conference championship

i skim headlines to make sure gronk's ankle hasn't fallen off but other than that nothing

I will be rooting for the Giants.

    1) Panthers are an NFC team, so I always root for the NFC team in the Superbowl.

    2) Fuck the Patriots, we will have our revenge!

Niners got approved for $200 Million loan from the NFL today for their new stadium in Santa Clara. Jed York said the stadium could open as early as 2014 but definitely by 2015. As for sharing with the Raiders, they said they won a vote by the city of Santa Clara to allow for a 2nd team in the stadium but he "cannot speak for an entire other organization"

Oh boy...an interview of Tim Tebow by Skip Bayless. Wonder how long before Bayless is trying to take Tebow's flower with his mouth.

    Time to change the channel.

The real question is whether or not Brady's receivers will drop nearly a 1/3rd of his passes, most of which would be for first downs.

    I don't think that'll happen.

Tebow is planning to heal him completely on Sunday after he feeds the entire crowd at Lucas Oil Stadium with a tray of nachos, two hotdogs, and one Miller Light aluminum pint.

NFL network is hosting 13 regular season games in 2012

using 40 hours of television air time to get cable companies to pay for 24/7/365 access to a channel that is 99% reruns and NFL advertisements

They probably make more money on the network from the slow drip from cable companies, than they would if they just made the games $50 pay-per-views

Yeah, I'm probably going to have to get NFL Network next season even though it's only available as part of a $10 package.
