So maybe not a lot of you watched Chuck. That's fine. A lot of people didn't. But I did, and I'm going to talk about Chuck.
Chuck is a show that nearly died three years ago, and instead improbably survived the death camp that is NBC for three seasons, and roughly nineteen possible season finales.
In the past five seasons the show has featured great villains:
I loved Chuck for the first few seasons
But this season, we moved and set the tivo up incorrectly. So by the time we learned we had messed up, it was already too late to catch up. Have to catch this last season in other ways!
If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing
LOS ANGELES—The NBC action-comedy Chuck, familiar to millions of viewers from its long-running promo bumpers, does not actually exist, network executives admitted Friday. "We had a very successful, very expensive promotional campaign, but to be honest, we never actually bothered making a pilot," NBC spokesperson Grant Twombly said. "I guess everybody just assumes everybody else is watching it, because advertisers have jumped on board, and DVD sales are somehow doing great." A ratings analyst reached for comment confirmed that "people can't get enough of that Chuck."
Alcatraz is so stupid that it was kind of funny! But mainly stupid.
Fuck it then.
Archer's coming back, so that's all I need. Besides Fringe that is.
That's a show that is always on the brink of collapse but isn't poop like Chuck in recent seasons.
Yeah, I am looking at you, Geebs!

I only have antenna reception for local channels and one episode several weeks back didn't record very well, so I haven't kept up because I don't want to miss an episode in between because there is storyline I'd miss. And friggin' hulu stopped having it available online to watch at all, so I'm SOL until the last season comes out on DVD.
Not gonna get to watch this tonight because my friends are out of town. We're gonna get together on Tuesday and watch it at my place.
Chuck's never been stellar TV, but it's always been a lot of fun and always makes you feel good. Hopefully most of the actors involved end up getting more roles after it is over.

With the Cinematic Marvel Universe coming together Yvonne Strahovski would make an excellent Carol Danvers.
I know a lot of people kind of fell by the wayside as the show went on, and I know it had some rough stretches (it never really matched the consistency (and budget) of the second season, for one), but I think the whole "fun little show" thing is kind of...I dunno, not really fair. It was fun, and it was light at parts, and it certainly never aspired to the level of something like a Breaking Bad, or whatever.
But it had a great cast, and was full of great characters that did grow and change over the course of the series, and a bunch of really memorable moments and argh you know what, I loved this show, and even though I'm glad they got to end it the way they wanted, and I'm glad it got five seasons, I'm still really sad that there are no more new Chuck episodes to watch.

I am concerned with how it could end after last week's episode though.

monk was a good show about white people
Only good shows are about white people
Speaking of shows
Anyone watch Alcatraz? Tell me about it.
Oh I guess the river is coming out soon.
Sam Neill must be lonely.
Because tie-in novels for TV and movies usually suck?
Not all the time. They made Chuck comic books.
My friend's mom is in that!
Is she hot?
Can I smell it?

Um, it probably should have ended a while ago.

But I also like Sarah Connor and the weinerlicous costume, this finale is OK. The first hour made me fairly sour.
Yeah I guess I could do without more Morgan.
As long as Adam Baldwin gets more work. He seems to keep getting doomed to cult classics.
I wouldn't really call being on a five season show as "doomed".
