The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
You can also usually buy library access from a university without affiliation for a yearly fee.
As a guess how much do you think that would cost?
Honestly I should probably just look it up on my school website, I'm sure it's there.
It's not going to be any cheaper than an alumni association fee. Like, at my university, it's $50 a year, which is the same as the alumni fee, and the alumni fee carries other benefits.
The library access program is for people with no current institutional affiliation.
every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.
The gun equalizes any discussion/power narrative and removes the concept of bullying
The downside would be a dramatic rise in Mexican standoffs...

I was talking about baby names today with someone who's pregnant at work and she can't decide if she wants to use a family name or a general mexican name. Because she likes the family names, but lots of them are very stereotypical mexican names and she says lots of people her age are using those to stay in touch with their heritage so she kind of just wants to use really generic names like alejandro or marco that can be anglicized easily. (She is from Mexico, btw, but she grew up here for most of her life. Her husband is Mexican, but has been here for a while and speaks fluent English, is a big american beer fan, and is a big american football fan, etc)
Which got me thinking about my family names. Like, I've got padrigs and colms and plenty of others in the recent generations, but I'm pretty much American so it would be pretty forced for me to use lots of my family names.
So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.

For whatever reason when I try to get to an article on EBSCO from pubmed it never works.
btdubs, do you guys know if universities usually let you keep your login and e-mail address and library access and junk after you've graduated?
Because I am not pleased about the notion of giving up my journal address (or my e-mail).

Who was reading The Stars My Destination? Wasn't it Elendil?
I need someone else in the world to understand why it's a crime that this film isn't a movie yet.
That's why you pay your alumni association fees (among other reasons).

At this point the only tattoo I would get would be the Best at Sex trophy from Mitchell and Webb. Right on my wang.
How much does that sort of thing usually cost?

Like, I say with full certainty that in 100 years the MySpace Angle will be an artistic term, on par with the Dutch Angle.
Mine is $50/yr.
(I don't pay it.)

It seems worth it for me just for journal access.
I guess she grew tired of everyone saying "at least you have a pretty face."

Absolutely not!
And besides, gender at this point is beyond moot.
Morbid obesity can do that to a lady.
Yeah it does.

The Young Turks is frequently misleading. I really dislike that webcast.
You still have to be able to legally own and carry a handgun, which means you have to be 18.
Their hand-wringing that it would legalize kindergarteners to carry guns to school is completely wrong.
What it would do is allow teachers to carry guns to school, which is still retarded, but it's a far less dramatic form of stupidity.

I hate getting Mexican DLs for ID because I am never sure what to put down for FIRST AND LAST NAME, since there seem to be several of each.
